“Hey, hey, [Hero]! You know what time is it?!”

Hero sighed and looked up from the newspaper they were reading.

“I don’t know. What time is it?”

“It’s spooky time! Halloween is coming!” Villain shouted happily.

“And…?”

“What do you mean “and”?! We’re gonna dress up and go for candies!”

Hero peacefully put magazine at the table beside them.

“Aren’t we a little too old?”

“Of course not! I already know what costume I want to have! What about you?”

“Well… I don’t know yet.”

“I will be a [No. 1 Hero]!”

Hero laughed fondly.

“Aren’t you suppose to dress up like someone you’re afraid of?”

“Well…”

“What do we have here today?”

“Good morning, officer.”

“You again? Well, what did you do this time? Robbed some old lady? Broke a window? Took an apple without paying?”

“That’s so mean, officer. Why are you thinking I’m the one who did something bad? Maybe I’m a victim here.”

“Are you?”

“Nah. I’m just messing with you.”

"So you want to kill me?" Villain's smile shuddered a little when he was saying this, their eyes was wet with tears they didn't bother to wipe away. "I don't want to kill you!" Hero screamed. They didn't hold back the tears. They pressed their hand to their face as if this could prevend them from crying. Their other hand was holding a gun, pointed at the villain. "I don't want to do it... but I don't have a choice! I have to do it!" Villain sighed tenderly and lowered the hands they had previously held up in a defensive gesture. They walked slowly toward the hero. They had nothing to lose anyway. "D-don't come any closer!" hero screamed, holding the gun with both hands now. They shivered so much that even if they'd shoot now they would miss but none of them said a word about it. Villain didn't respond. They took the hero's face in their hands and leaned toward them, pressing their lips to theirs.

“Oh come on, [Hero]! It’s so cold, I’m freezing my ass here and you wanna fight?”

“...Are you serious?”

“Yes, I am! The snow is up my ankles! I’m not gonna fight in that shit, you gonna throw me in the snow and I’ll catch a cold!”

“So I found this new recipe...”

“You’re not allowed in the kitchen.”

“Oh come on! I won’t burn anything!”

“Yeah? Remember the last time you said it? I had to call the...”

“Okay, I get it! I won’t cook.”

~A few moments later~

“I... I can explain-”

Hero looked at the sky full of stars, a tender smile played on his lips. Villain stood beside him, but he didn't look at the sky.  He was too busy staring at Hero. They was standing on the roof of the skyscraper, snow falling from the sky was on their hair, cold wind was making their cheeks pink.

"Hero..." Villain began quietly, as if afraid that his whisper would break the mood between them. He swallowed loudly, his lips a thin line.

"Yes, Villain?" Hero asked, his voice as quiet as Villain’s but more cheerfully.

"I..." Villain cleared his throat, searching for the right words in his head. He turned his head so he won't be distracted by the sight of Hero, who was looking at him with those beautiful eyes, with that sweet smile on his lips. "I..."

"What did you get at Christmas?"

"Socks."

"Ahh, who don't love to get socks at Christmas?"

"Me. It's me."

"Why? That's just socks. They're nice."

"I get 10 pairs."

"Oh... well that's..."

"I'm going to burn them."

"What? No!"

Christmas #1

“[Villain], please, not today. It’s Christmas and I’m very busy with-”

“What is Christmas...?”

“You don’t- you never... Oh my God, I’m so sorry, [Villain]...”

“For what? What’s so amazing in that, that everyone is happy and busy and even you don’t have time for me!?”

“Would you... Would you like to spend Christmas with me? And my family? We’d be honored.”

“Hey [Hero]. What do you want for Christmas?”

“Excuse me?”

Villain smirked. Hero stepped back, unsure what is going on. Recently, Villain was very kind to them, wasn’t punching them with all their power. It was weird. Alarming even.

“You know, Christmas. Present. What do you want?” Villain pushed.

“You mean… from you?”

“Yeah. Who else?”

“Well I… I didn’t think you would…”

“But I do.” Villain touched Hero’s cheek, their thumb gently stroking the skin. “So, what do you want? You can ask for everything.”

"All I want for Christmas is youuu~!"

Villain blinked a few times.

"Really?"

"No. That would be weird."

“Hey [Hero]. What do you want for Christmas?”

Silence. A moment of serenity between them. Hero glanced at Villain; they seemed so sincere, so kind at the moment. Hero felt free to ask for what they truly wanted.

“I only want peace with you.”

“Hey [Hero]. What do you want for Christmas?”

“Excuse me?”

“I have already seen snow in my life, kid.”

“Alright, alright, I’m coming.”

“What are you doing here?!”

“What are you doing here like ‘I didn’t know you’d come, it’s nice to see you’ or like ‘get the fuck out of here’?”

“Get the fuck outta here!”

“Okay, it’s clear messenge.”

“Why do you wear a dress? You look stupid.”

“I’m a girl, ya know? I’m suppose to wear a dress.”

“Yeah but you still look stupid.”

“Who are you...?” A asked scared. They took a few steps back but B keept coming closer to them.

“I’m sure you can tell by now.” B smiled devilishly. “I am your biggest nightmare, darling.”

“So as you see... I turned into a girl.”

“Would you like to explain me that?”

“...no?”

“Where did you go, my darling? Please don’t hide from me, I’m not in the mood to play with you. Come out.”

A pressed his hands tightly to his face, breathing heavily through the nose. Through a thin crack in the closet door he saw B, walking around the room, searching for him.

“I said come out.” he demanded again, this time his voice was thick from growing anger. “Come out now and I won’t do anything to you.”

He lied. Of course he was lying, A was sure of that. The scars on his arms wouldn’t let him hesitate to come out.

A held his breath when B’s shadow appeared in front of the closed. He prayed for B to go away.

The door swung open.

“Got ya.”
