9 years ago I heard good news. In fact, it was the best news I ever heard in my whole life. I heard that God came down to Earth to live amongst His people. He lived as a human—a sinless life, but used every moment to serve the needy, heal the sick, comfort the broken, and bring hope to the world. His name was Jesus. He died on a Cross because humans, in their sinful state, are unable to get to heaven, a place for perfection. Jesus, being perfect, willingly went to die for us because He knew it was the only way we could get there. 3 days later He rose again from the grave—conquering death once and for all. He did all of the work so I could have eternal life, and what did I have to do to earn it? Nothing. There was nothing in my human power I could do to earn it! It was free. All I needed to do was accept this free gift. April 4th, 2010 I accepted Christ into my heart—as my Lord and Savior. I have a hope that never fails. I’m eternally grateful, and as long as I live I will never stop reminding people of what God did for them because of love!

And Life seems fair again. But for some it goes to a point where they can’t even cry about it. They become so hollow that every sad feeling, every suffering they go through their soul takes it all in as if it’s their own. But everything in this world has it’s limit. And they know that there will come a time when their soul won’t be able to take it any longer, there will come a time when all these emotions, this emptiness, this agonizing sadness will be too much to bear for their soul. And then it will burst out everything in the only way it could; killing. People do not die from suicide, they die from sadness… . - I know what you’re going through”

I want you to know that no matter how many times you’ve been dismissed by people, God loves you with an unconditional and unfailing love. You are not disposable to Him. You are not just another face in the crowd. You are His son, His daughter. No human being defines your worth. HE defines your worth and if what those people are saying does not match the word of God, you need to discard it as a lie. He’s the one who formed you when you were still in your mother’s womb. He’s the one who’s numbered every hair on your head. He’s the one who predestined you for adoption before the world even began. He’s the one who took your place on the cross, so that you could enter into the relationship with Him that you had no hope of attaining on your own. He’s the one who knows you better than any person walking this earth ever could. He’s the one who’s seen the darkest crevices of your heart and loves you just the same. Why? Because He IS love. What He says is what matters. When you’ve been hurt by the words someone else has spoken about you, I encourage you to draw near to Him. Thank Him for what HE says, even if at that moment you don’t feel like it’s true. When you put your focus on Him, everything else will fade into the background.

When you’re in a season of waiting, it’s never just a season of waiting. It’s a season of preparation, self-improvement, giving, and, as always, sanctification. 

Waiting is not passive. It’s active. Be prepared for what you are praying for. You might not know when, but when He speaks, it happens fast. Be ready for it.
