The Unwanted Prophet: First book in the Creed of Gethin trilogy. a dark fantasy about a god of death and his criminal Prophet

The Forgotten Lyric: The second book in the CoG trilogy. A dark fantasy about a retired assassin who falls in love with a bard who has mysterious abilities.

Blood in the Water: a gothic horror/romance novella about a vampire and a human trapped on a cargo ship in the middle of the ocean. Full story is now available for free on RoyalRoad.

In Perpetuum: A dark fantasy/horror about a trans man who cannot die. Inspired by Hellraiser, Dark Souls, and Resident Evil Village. Status: Drafting

The Friend of the Gods: the 3rd book in the CoG trilogy. A dark fantasy about a prophet of death trying to carry out the only request her god has ever given her. Status: 2/3rds drafted, a bit stalled out. Need to restart.

Look Into Her Many Eyes : a novel in the world of Creed of Gethin. Gothic, wild west horror/fantasy following a prophet of Gethin and a threat to the town she's sworn to protect. Status: Plotting

ANNOUNCEMENT

I HAVE WRITTEN ANOTHER VAMPIRE BOOK IN SECRET

And by "written" I mean I've got about 50-75% of a first draft done and my momentum hasn't died yet, so I feel safe to start actually talking about this one. After like 2 years without finishing a major project, it was beginning to feel like maybe I'd lost my sparkle. Enter - 1980s goth vampire and new love of my life, Pete, and his human roommate Valentine Delgado. The idea occurred to me on a long drive on back roads while I was listening to my 80s new wave/post punk playlist, and thinking about vampires, as I often do. Somewhere in there, something started simmering and by the end of my weekend I was left with a very potent concept: Trans man buys a historic house and accidentally wakes up the vampire who's been hibernating in the basement for the past 40 years.

That happened in late April. By the same time in May, I had written 50,000 words and illustrated a full cover. I still didn't feel safe to announce it, because I've announced a few projects since 2023 and none of them have actually Happened yet, but this one has stuck. I can tell you this is a very special little book, to me. It draws on some of my favorite horror comedies (What We Do in the Shadows, Lisa Frankenstein, Your Monster) as well as my enduring love for the intersection between queer and alternative subcultures.

With the pace I'm going at now I feel confident in saying this book, titled BE MY RENFIELD, will come out fall of this year (2026)! Until then, I can't wait to share all the art I've got of the characters that I've been patiently waiting to post until I felt like I was really, truly ready.

Valentine: This guy looks at me all the time so intensely. He's like a hawk watching a mouse or a cat watching fish in an aquarium. Why is he always staring at me if not because he hungers for my blood and is only barely holding himself back? Its just like Twilight!

What Pete is actually thinking when hes staring: Valentine looks like he was crying a lot today and Im trying to figure out a way to ask if he's alright that wont offend his remarkably fragile sense of ego

What they don't tell you about writing is that as you write, you discover scenes and entire plots that you hadn't accounted for that need to be written. So you can spend two hours writing and editing only to realise you're further away from the finish line than you thought you were when you started

One thing I hate about myself is that I'll say I despise certain tropes and then I'll write those tropes for some fucking reason
