Another Realm

My eyes close shut

All ties to reality are cut

Nothing now holds me back

There isn't anything I lack

My body fades

Pain is sharp like razor blades

The room around me is stripped bare

Not for a second do I care

I am being taken to another realm

Sights and sounds overwhelm

Time is warped and twisted

Sending me to a world where it never existed

All stands still

In the air there's a chill

I have arrived

And I have survived

White Horse

The rider on the white horse

Comes to spare remorse

He comes to rescue and save

To lead us from the grave

His hand controls thousands of men

To kill them and hold them back again

He will not let us fall

The rider on the white horse is the savior of all

Outstretched arms beckon me still

The memory of your touch brings a thrill

Your arms wrapped around my waist

Across my skin your fingers traced

Pairs of eyes froze to stare

But do you think I really care?

Burning like fire your embrace ignited

And flame in my heart was lighted

A coldness came over me within a second or two

My steps echoed in the room

And I walked away feeling the gloom

I loved that moment that ended so soon

And even thinking of it now I begin to swoon

Sobs rack my frame

The pain is over now, I cry tears of shame

Dirty, ragged, and starved

Oh how deep the scars have carved

Clinging to the mud

Sopping up the Jewish blood

We've been liberated at last

But there is no remedy for the past

Here I stand

Hand in hand

With a soldier strong and brave

Who has saved me from the grave

Individual Importance

There's something in everyone that the world needs

It doesn't matter if you are a doer of good deeds

Your soul is one of a kind

All unspeakable creativity rests in your mind

Someone can't live without you

You're so important, oh if you only knew

There's a reason your here

So overcome your fear

Facade

Your tough facade

Your shoulders so broad

Your heart so perfect, yet so flawed

I wonder when your icy attitude will have thawed

All you ever give is an acknowledging nod

With your height and stature you leave me awed

If only I was brave enough to share a ballade

If only I knew I wouldn't crumple this poem into a wad

Then maybe I could break through your facade

Seconds of Sorrow

The snow is falling like little angels from heaven

I count the seconds until I get to eleven

Come down, oh come down

My mood drops and here comes my frown

Oh yes keep coming why don't you

I hate you, I hate you

Although it isn't the snow I'm referring to

It's the events of today and all the passed days I've gone through

I count the seconds to twenty

The sorrow I have is plenty

Matching with the dull grey skies

You will be my demise

I count the seconds to thirty

My dreams are soiled and my hope is dirty

The snow is falling like little angels from heaven

I count the seconds until I reach forty seven

The seconds tick by on all the clocks

And the icy cold weather mocks

Pain tears through my being But at the same time I am finally seeing There is an end to sorrow Hope soars to greet you tomorrow There is an end to suffering Jesus’s love is buffering He slows down every blow He took the cross watching his own blood flow He wore the crown of thorns Carrying upon him all of our shame and scorn He laughs at the devil and by his persistence He triumphs through resistance We have been saved Despite how we’ve behaved We are free Satan flees We shall sing Glory to our King

The Stalker

Stair by stair up I come Already I am cringing some At the words I know you will say At the same scenario that happens everyday Following me like a nightmare It is more than I can bare Every turn around the halls I even have to look underneath stalls For I fear you will be there You creep and lurk everywhere Upon your lips I hear my name You are a stalker just the same You're obsessed and it's frightening This whole ordeal has been enlightening Never again will I pay compliments to a guy Especially not to one who seems to be shy Creating havoc where you go You are so sneaky that no one would know I try to ignore your rotten schemes The possessed look your eye gleams Around every corner your face I see Good grief, I beg stop stalking me

Dreaming of Moonlight and Forests

Dew drops glisten on sheets of green

In my imaginary rain forest I am the queen

I conjure up all sorts of things

The beauty is that of a butterfly's wings

Sweet dreams fill the open air

And the breeze of wishes floats through my hair

Whispering spirits hush all my fear

The feeling that takes over me quiets and excites

Creatures dance in the moonlight like angels

And a song rises up to the heavens

Whether these are fairies or visions

I made up my mind after countless decisions

This world is real to me

And that is how I wish it would be

But now that you with your dreary harsh words spoken

The dream is over and the magical spell is broken

Beast

Wolves come out of the wood work

And the inner monster continues to lurk

It reveals its ugly head

It takes you over and demands to be fed

It is always thirsty for souls

Tearing your heart open and creating gaping holes

The blood pours out

And from my eyes leak tears of doubt

Doubt that you could ever regain sanity

That perhaps the madness is vanity

You love the wretched beast inside

The old person you once were has died

Deeper Love

Long golden wavy locks

They fall in my face

Brown strands block

The sunlight as it falls upon the letters I trace

Hidden in my heart

Your voice I can still hear

We will never be apart

I refuse to fear

Flying like eagles

On wings I soar

Over the ocean with the seagulls

And my love for you is so much more

One With You

Movements in sync

Unable to think

This perfection is bliss

Memories of the past, I will not miss

I am one with you living in truth

And I will never go back to the old ways of my youth

Hold Me

Wrap your arms around me tight

I want to hear the sound of your heart tonight

And while the sun is setting on the horizon

A cascade of warm colors is rising

Hold me closer now

Don't break your vow

You promised to hold me until the sun comes again

You promised to not let go until a new day begins

So in the sand and under the stars

All through the night this paradise will be ours

Wrap your arms around me tight

I want to hear the sound of your heart tonight

Shattering Windows

Without thinking, and without a single thought

There was no forewarning, no there was not

My fist flew like the fastest plane

Colliding with the window; an explosion of pain

Shattering shards seem to float in the air

As I realize the damage is beyond repair

The window falls down like a waterfall of glass

The blood on my knuckles proves they weren't brass

No my skin is fragile indeed

And so my life also is a frailty

Nightmares

If these nightmares would stop haunting me I could become what I ought to be Whether or not they are reality They are all that I can see Running and running I try to flee But the pain from the past won't allow me to be free

Whispering Winds

Whispering winds sift through willow trees

Soothingly I hear the voice of the breeze

Softly it caresses my neck and ruffles my hair

It hovers over the waters with care

The wind is here

The wind is there

The wind is everywhere
