“Do you think there’s really a secret way into Honeydukes from the cursed house?” Maura asked as she stared at the attraction, not entirely sure why there was smoke leaking out of the windows, but certain that it wasn’t on fire since no one was running out screaming. She hadn’t gone through it yet, but as interesting as the advertised tricks and traps were, what she really found really intriguing was the idea of using the house like a floo to get into places she wasn’t supposed to go. Grinning widely, Maura shrugged and held out a hand before asking, “Want to try it out with me? Come on, it’s not like we’re trying to sneak into the Shrieking Shack.”
His attention had been caught by the smoke, hoping that it was intended to be there - the last thing their world needed was a burning building at a festival. Deciding it didn’t look to have any source of fire, he had begun to turn away when he heard the woman speak. Turning back to consider and deciding nothing too important was waiting for him, he finished off his butterbeer and vanished the cup.
“I wasn’t sure how much weight to give to that rumor, but anything that possibly ends in fudge is worthwhile to me.” He pulled the bag of jelly skulls out of his jacket pocket and held it out to her. “We manage not to drown in quicksand and find our way there, it can even be my treat.”
