“Yeah, it’s sad that I left my phone at home. I would use this in your birthday song when you turn 30, it would be amazing.” He said flatly not even bothering since Dawson seemingly wasn’t paying much attention anymore, being busy fixing whatever was wrong. “It’s barely rolling.“ Austin added even though Dawson made it clear the subject was over and done with. Austin raised his eyebrows questioning, it didn’t look very covered if he had to say so but he didn’t say it out loud. “Mhmm, fine. But the offer still stands.” He told him honestly, he just wanted to help out as much as he could in some way. “Nah? Yeah I’ve been great. Oh ha, yeah we did got a nice apartment not that far from here, you should come by. Not yet, no, I’m sure it’s bound to happen sooner or later. You know how she hates it when you say something that goes against her feminist believes.” He shrugged and let out a laugh.
Dawson hummed a little in response, truly not paying all that much attention to what Austin was saying. Judging from his first impression, he would at least be able to get the car up and running long enough to get it back to the garage - from there, he would figure out what to do. “And I’m grateful for it, but like I said. Got it covered.” He flashed Austin a grin as he leaned down to pick up a wrench. “Glad to hear it. I probably should, but I’ll ring ahead first. I actually am happier not knowing what goes on behind closed doors between you two. Anything you can do, she can do ten times better - your life motto if you want to get along with Sum,” he advised, shrugging a little.
