I know this sudden random bit of posting on this stuff sounds anally retentive, and thatâs the point.
The real way fascism takes power is by encroaching its way into a society and shifting the social norms to allow its existence. Rome was not built in a day, and neither was the Nazi Party. The Nazis are evil, and the evilest thing they did was managing to rationalize everything they did. They sold people the lie that the Jews were to blame for their woes, and that they were the solution for it and used it to not only genocide political enemies, but anyone they could easily define as an undesirable. Jews, gypsies, homosexuals and others were sent to the gas chambers.
They sold lies to justify their existence, and to allow them the ability to change the status quo of Germany to fit them. Fascism rises by justifying its existence and selling people on its intentions of safety before entrapping people within it. It builds upon ideas that are popular and twists them to fit its goals and mindsets, and it abuses simple lies to cover up complex truths and justify its existence further. To prevent it, you must prevent yourself from falling to the pitfalls it desires you to fall down, and resist the intentions it wishes you to ignore.
Compromise is better than a jackboot. And to keep a jackboot from treading over everything you love and care for, you must compromise.
This is pretty much exactly what Gina Carano got fired for saying.
But Trump said mean things on Twitter and one time he told some other dude in a locker room that sometimes you need to grab a woman by the pussy so itâs totally okay if we implement fascism as long as we get him out of power.
Celebrating Death.
One of the ugliest practices, from a moral standpoint, that we see uniquely displayed within Leftwing political culture is the practice of celebrating the death of ideological opponents. We might inquire into why this occurs on the Left in a peculiar way that is not seen elsewhere in politics. There are plenty of political sins that both the Right and Left are guilty of to an equal extent, but this isnât one of them. It is not merely the number of Leftists that are willing to participate in this kind of behavior that is notable, but the number of influential people on the Left willing to do so. It occurs not as a random spattering of voices across social media, but as a large and predictable cascade of voices that range from the influential to the anonymous.
Now personally I have never been moved to celebrate the death of even those human beings  guilty of the worst evils (murderous political dictators,  drug cartel bosses, serial killers  etc.)  much less my American political opponents. But more interestingly, the individuals on the Left that we are discussing are also never moved to celebrate the death of such people as I have described; people far more evil than those whose deaths they do celebrate.  The death of a genuine racist figure means nowhere near as much to these Leftists as the death of some local Conservative politician that he has merely chosen to smear as a racist.
The âabsolute ideologueâ is a person who has no sense or awareness of good or evil outside of their own political  ideology. It is a dangerous mentality. When Conservatives say about Liberals that they have good intentions but a horrible approach, the Conservative is demonstrating an awareness of good and evil beyond his own ideology. The Leftist never concedes the good intentions of his opponents. All which lies outside of his own ideology is the darkest of evils.
The problem with this mentality is that it renders  civil rational discourse in a free society impossible.  Repression of opposing views is the only option.
