I think I can speak for both of us here…. We love kpop, we love the music and artists. We both pretty much adore pop, hip hop, indie, etc so of course we love Korean music.
The thing we hate are the ignorant and often insanely fanatic fans. This blog is called wtfkpopfandom so its the really really terrible fans that we dislike.

A fan filmed a crowd of exotics and got a lot more than she bargained for. At the end of the footage you see a girl approach the camera and then slap the camera person, abruptly ending the clip. The uploader stated:
Commenters have pointed out the girl and her friend waving at me and asking me to stop filming them. Believe it or not, when looking at a crowd of a thousand people, I managed to miss them..... It was someone screaming in a crowd of a thousand people screaming. I didn't notice it until she was coming at me. It's also really possible she was just trying to smack my phone and my face happened to be near it... I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
However, fans continue to ague in the comments. I find it really appalling to see some of the things people are saying about this.
Just don't go to concerts? That's really your solution to avoiding getting hit? That's exactly what people tell young girls in order to avoid rape. Don't go out at night; don't wear revealing clothing; don't do this don't do that. Are you really saying that concerts/stages are such a hazard zone that its normal and acceptable and that it should be expected you'll get potentially hurt?? And the fact you're generalizing it to be "the DOs and DON'Ts in Korea" is really pathetic.

I am really amazed that people are trying to point a finger at her for all the shit people say about exotics. I think its pretty clear that this is a drop in the bucket. Plus, the uploader even said that she is an exo fan. So what, is she ruining her own image? That would be really counterproductive.

Are y'all really pulling the culture card here and blaming an entire group and society of people for bad behavior? Are you really assuming that because some fans are more physical and rude than others that that must be the entire culture?? Are you really saying that international fans need to expect violent backlash for not fitting in with Korean society???
How in the hell does that make any sense. Yes, people should try to respect another culture by abiding by social constructs and general behavior norms. However, people should never make an assumption of another culture on the basis of a few people's actions. Just because one person does something, doesn't mean everyone else in that society does the same thing.
TLDR: This situation isn't about badmouthing exotics. It isn't trying to start a war between kfans and international fans. It isn't representing Korean culture nor fan culture. This situation is recording a moment in that fan's life, where on the streets in Korea she got hit in the face while filming. That's it.
