1. Pace -- Tim Hawkinson's Counterclockwise:
537 West 24th Street

The Pace retrospective on Tim Hawkinson offered unique perspective on interaction design and recycling/repurposing of common objects. Every element used in each piece is in some way a recycled element of every day life. His signature piece, for instance is made from a primary school desk and chair, clothes hangers, a bic pen, and a motor.
2. Gagosian Gallery — Taryn Simon’s PAPERWORK AND THE WILL OF CAPITAL
http://www.gagosian.com/exhibitions/taryn-simon--february-18-2016
This was a tremendously curated exhibition, displaying larger than life portraits of different centerpieces featured at various political and financial meetings and the symbolism of the decoration. Some pieces are decidedly festive, such as the one from the ALBA agreement, flaunting the native flowers of South America in all their glory, while others like the unsuccessful piece treaty of South Sudan has obvious symbolism in the choice of crimson flowers.

4. Mark Dion -- Cabinet of Curiosities Exhibit
Tanya Bonakar Gallery
521 West 21st Street (between 11th & 12th Avenues)
Mark Dion’s Cabinet of Curiosity was a real treat, especially his "The Library for the Birds of New York and Other Marvels," on the first floor, where four at a time, spectators could enter his large scale bird cage for an immersive experience and chance to observe 22 live bird, an oak tree and diverse books, photographs and memorabilia. Other works included an extensive cigar box collection, and glow in the dark neon plastic animals.
