crazy how horny for cas dean is in that one scene from 12x07

he sees the pink panties (insert 5x04 flashbacks) and immediately look at cas

and you can tell he's thinking about panties + cas because he looks away quickly and scrunchies up his face and is like ohhhhh no don't think about that don't think about that

but THEN he apparently just... gives the panties to cas??

then he randomly has to sit down and check out the pizza box (i learned that from the pizzaman HELLO?!?!?!)

and then he picks up a guitar and starts strumming away

and pointedly looks at cas as he does so

remember, the only other time we've seen dean with a guitar was when he was trying to impress that girl he liked in 9x07

between being a whovian and a cosmere fan, it's unsurprising that i've been getting weird looks every time i start geeking out over seeing a crab

summoned up the courage to remember the existence of the spn finale and immediately thought about how dean starts the show accusing sam of wanting an unattainable "apple pie life" and then in the final episode dean is shown having that apple pie life (literally), but he chooses to reject it and commits passive suicide instead because it's an ending that refuses to allow him to be with the people he chose as his family

love the fact that dean literally spends 90% of 7x01 just fixing his car and stalking godstiel on the radio, occasionally giving an approving nod over his various war crimes

so when chuck says. at the end of swan song. kinda outta the blue. that dean didn't want cas to save him. does that mean. that if cas hadn't left for heaven. and he and dean had spent that year together. then cas could have saved dean. in ways that even lisa and ben couldn't. is that what chuck is saying.

anyone else ever think about how "the man who would be king" is framed as castiel's prayer to his father for a sign as to whether or not he's on the right path, and it ends with him defeated, thinking that there is no sign. but that sign. was literally dean. he tells cas at the end of the episode that he isn't going to "logic" him with reasons about why opening purgatory is a bad idea, and instead asks cas to stop, "just cause." he demands that cas have faith in his judgement the same way god asks for blind faith. and that. that was cas' sign.

cannot stop thinking about how in 6x06, when dean comes under the power of veritas and everyone around him starts telling him the truth, the one person dean doesn't get or seek any truth from is cas. he calls bobby to test the spell on him, then has to listen to what lisa really thinks about their relationship, then specifically uses the spell against sam to try and figure out what is wrong with him. yet it never even occurs to dean to pray to cas to come to him so he can ask him questions, despite the fact that they were together earlier in the episode, before the spell hits, and dean was pissed at cas. specifically, dean was asking why cas is acting so unlike himself, delivering the "what happened to you cas? you used to be human, or at least like one" line. yet in spite of his chronic distrust and paranoia, he simply accepts cas' vague answer that "regrettable" things are now required of him because of his war in heaven. it doesn't seem to even cross dean's mind after the spell comes into effect to try and question cas more closely on these "regrettable" actions, because he trusts cas so completely that he can't even imagine that cas would be lying to or withholding the truth from him.
