It has begun: Paul Ryan has started the process to defund Planned Parenthood (which already gets $0 for abortion, so…WHY???)
House Speaker Paul Ryan confirmed during a news conference on Thursday that Republicans plan to strip Planned Parenthood of millions of dollars of federal funding. Ryan said that a defunding measure would appear in a bill that is expected to pass through Congress as early as next month.

To find an extinct animal, look no further than the California state flag.
The California grizzly bear (Ursus arctos californicus) was a subspecies of the grizzly bear that went extinct in the early 1900′s. After the discovery of gold in California in 1848, California grizzly bears were systematically hunted and killed; the subspecies was driven to extinction in less than 75 years. The last recorded sighting of a California grizzly occurred in 1924 in Sequoia National Park.
The most famous California grizzly bear was Monarch, pictured above c.1900 at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and also as a mounted skin. Monarch (also known as the Monarch Bear) was captured near Los Angeles and lived in captivity for 22 years until his death in 1911. It is said that Monarch was posthumously used as the model for the California state flag.

unpopular problematic opinion but
you shouldn’t have to reveal some deeply personal thing about yourself, especially if it somehow affects your safety, just so that people will listen to you and stop treating you like shit
“The people who get angriest about fat girls looking good and feeling hot are the people who are the most strongly invested in the idea that a person has to be skinny in order to be happy, healthy, and loved.” - Lesley Kinzel

The Television Ghost (1931-1933)
The Television Ghost was a “horror” television series that aired in New York from 1931 until 1933. The show consisted of an actor named George Kelting telling scary stories in closeup. His face was painted white and he wore a sheet wrapped around him. No film footage or audio exists, making it even creepier. (Source)
