"I do not look like that!" Pierce answers with his usual deadpan look... then raises curious yet slightly self-conscious brows to add on "... do I?". Coincidentally or not, even the t-shirt he had on said "Meh..." on the front.
Which OC believes they can read the minds of others? Do they truly have the ability to read minds, or are there other explanations?
One of Pierce’s abilities is Telepathy. He is able to read/hear the thoughts of others and likewise transfer his own voice/thoughts into a person’s mind. However, Pierce has a rule in place where in the same way you don’t just break into someone’s house likewise will he not invade the privacy of their mind without an invitation. The furthest he’ll go without an invitation is to put his own voice in someone’s thoughts, which is the equivalent to standing outside the front door calling in.

There was that name again, Kain. Pierce couldn't help but feel sympathetic towards her bringing it up again how he was murdered before her eyes. He could relate a little to watching love one’s being killed, but at least he had the closure of knowing his parents died heroes. Vyre though? She had to live with the fact this Kain person was snatched away from her without any form of closure available to her surrounding his death. There was no closure to be had in murder. “Uh... not for you, right?” Pierce’s head whipped around to Vyre. One minute she was talking about virus proofing this place from herself, then suddenly she’s talking about building a firewall which could annihilate someone to ash. Pierce wasn't sure whether she meant the firewall was for her or her threats.
“Could we not just... I dunno, contain you or something if you need a time out? I don’t think I like the idea of destroying you. That seems rather drastic”
The angel stood up from the office chair by his computer and walked on over to where Vyre was. He did not crouch or attempt to get on her level though, but rather just stood by her as if she were the same size as him likewise looking up at the ceiling with her.
"If you meant for security from outsiders then I do currently have a couple of turrets” he told her pointing to the corners where they were mounted. With so much to keep secret inside this warehouse he’d already installed those for his own peace of mind. “I’m not sure about a firewall around the warehouse though, I’ve never had any need to try something like that before” Pierce crossed his arms, still staring at the ceiling in thought. His eyes homed in on an area of the wall where the blue glow of a neon light illuminated the area, which made him think back to his wings burning her tail. “I could probably create some sort of wall similar to my wings though? Assuming the intention was to keep your threats out. I will virus proof this place from you to the best of my ability, but I’d prefer to keep my security from you passive and save the offensive security for your own threats if I may?”

"Um... practice I guess?" the angel shrugged with his usual expressionless look on his face. He wasn't tired or annoyed or remotely unimpressed, this was just how he always looked even when he was content. "I've been doing it a long time, there isn't really a secret or particular product Id recommend. You just gotta do you and experiment until it feels right"

The dressed up outfit would be the least used but the others would be worn fairly regularly.
Monk is really just his meditation and yoga gear, I probably labelled that one wrong. He really was a monk at one time though.
I know I only recently drew Pierce a new ref, but I'm feeling like I wanna re-draw it and simplify it a little.
The part with the angel details can be shortened or put on a separate reference and the whole ref can be much simpler .w.;

He might have cybernetic arms and legs but Pierce still very much does yoga! Although at this point it’s more beneficial for his back and just general wellbeing, and certain yoga poses do absolutely nothing for him while others do.
How on earth did Pierce get roped into this? His main worry before the Kaiju showed up his brother abusing his power and status, but since then it seemed the world had bigger things to worry about... literally! Even Malachi had gone quiet since the walls were erected. And Pierce? He seemed to have been noticed for his previous work. Whether that would bite him in the ass or not was yet to be seen, but he had been compliant in accepting the invitation to take on a new calling. The striking difference between Pierce and everyone else around him as he walked through the mess hall with his tray in hand was his inability to wear boots, and by that he was the only one in there so it seemed who was partially cybernetic. His eyes were no focused on anyone’s reactions to this however but were more keen on looking for a table to sit at that wasnt too crowded. His eyes eventually fell upon a table near the back and Pierce headed over to that one. Before sitting himself down though Pierce would look to the others sitting at the table. “Is anyone sitting here?” he inquired motioning to the empty seat. They would see his eyes just fine, but his mouth was covered by a fabric mask which covered his scars. @shatterdcme-savicrs
Its extremely unlikely because for one thing Pierce is borderline asexual and secondly an introvert and won't share his sleeping space with anyone, but should someone actually get close enough to him that he will share his sleeping space with someone it's entirely possible that he may accidentally connect and bring that person into his mind to experience his own dreams and possibly memories with him.
One minute he's dreaming solo, suddenly he's sharing a dream.
He can deliberately allow people into his mind while he's awake though should there be a need to. For the person involved its like being transported to another world where anything is possible, except their physical bodies are actually sat down safely in a state of meditation while its their subconscious that's making the journey.
Pierce is literally able to read minds. He can see/hear people's thoughts and speak to people telepathically.
However, just like someone's underwear draw is private and you wouldn't go snooping around in there, Pierce respects that delving into people's thoughts is also intrusive and disrespectful and will not go diving into people's thoughts without prior permission. Not even if he suspects something is bothering them or they're keeping secrets. Its none of his business unless they've given him permission.
So people can usually rest assured that when Pierce is with them he can't see or hear anything going on in their minds unless they've already told him it's acceptable to do so.
Pierce however CAN project his voice and thoughts into other people's minds without seeing or hearing whats in their head. They may hear his voice trying to tell them something he doesn't want others to hear, or requesting a connection so he can speak telepathicaly if the conversation is private in nature.
Gargoyles never existed in Darsha until angels showed up.
They're actually native to the same world angels originated from (before the angels destroyed their own world through over consumption).
The gargoyles though were useful to the angels much as dogs are to humans, so some were brought along with them when they moved to the new world.
Those ones of course bread, so as well as angels even now still having gargoyles at their service there are also wild feral gargoyles living in Darsha who can't be called off or controlled.
Pierce: Appears constantly uninterested, speaks with minimal enthusiasm or emotion in his voice, doesn't seem to give any indication he cares about anything beyond his work... secretly adores his cat who's TOTALLY a stray and absolutely doesn't belong to him! Nope nope nope!
Pierce: pulls a screwdriver to his hand with telekinesis.

Pierce: "Magic? No, I'm just focusing the naturally occurring energy in my body to manipulate the molecules in the air to carry the object to my hand"

Person: ???
Pierce: "... doesn't matter"
