“Remember,” he said as he resumed his walk towards his apartment, which wasn’t far from here, “I offered. If you catch me on a good day I may even let you cash in.” It was a joke. He had a feeling they’d bump into each other if this happened to be her floor. “I got things I have to get to. Script readings mostly but I promised my agent I would get two done by the end of the day,” Vincent was about to turn on his heels before he remembered, “Did I get your name? You know mine but I don’t know yours. If we’re neighbors it would be good to know it. I may need to borrow a cup of sugar from you. Who knows.” Vincent shrugged, feeling playful.
Ivy still couldn’t believe this was happening right now. Her face was so red that she was sure a tomato would be jealous. She lets out a little nervous sounding sigh as she rubbed at her cheeks for a quick second. “Oh!” She blurts out almost rushed sounding. She felt even more embarrassed than she did original. “It’s Ivy.” She comments with a smile, her nose wrinkling a little. “Ivy Hawkins.” Why did she just give him her full name? God damn it.
