this show’s purpose is making money, they don’t care about the trainees, the proof is after the group made by the show disbands only a few members succeed, the members from IOI who went back to pristin, gugudan and weki meki aren’t insanely popular, pristin has already disbanded, weki meki never had a first win, the truth is you can’t carry a whole team by having ONE popular member from produce 101, chungha is doing well and somi struggled with agencies and debuted but her song wasn’t exactly a hit, of course she’s very popular so i wouldn’t worry about her, now wanna one are the same Guanlin is currently in dispute with his agency cube and didn’t have much success as a duo with pentagon wooseok, the rest are either doing acting or just debuting with their groups, daniel will be making his much anticipated debut in july, the conclusion is produce creates a successful group and milks it for money but after the group disbands the faith of the members is uncertain the members who were center almost always have a smooth sailing career but the rest who were on the lower ranks and go back to their agencies to debut with other members who aren’t famous don’t really become successful or insanely popular as a group,also having unbalanced popularity between members creates internal conflict, especially in groups where only one person is known and the rest are like backup dancers,in this cutthroat industry the most efficient and proven way of making a succesful kpop group is the traditional way, having all members be equally “unknown” to the public and then unveiling them at once, for the most part coming from a good agency is the key to a successful career, produce just benefits from trainees’ desperation and hard work to make money and then they go and make other groups continuing the cycle, most survival shows have yet to make long lasting results with successful groups/members , UNB from the unit already disbanded same for UNI.T, survival shows are just business ventures remember that, trainees are the number one victims since they aren’t compensated while they film the show and their future is unkown after the show ends
