Have you any plans to work with others to create mods? It would be interesting to see a proxi-command block, that can act similar but not that powerful. That can remove armor and place it into inventory or enderchest, teleport others in a short distance, and so on. With options that affects a specific player, any single player, or a single entities. Imagine the trolls with it.

There hasn’t been any movement to commission specific mods from nothing, but we have worked with mod creators with existing mods to add features to support the show.  Considering how fast mods are moved through and that trolls are (loosely) tried not to be repeated too much I’m not sure of the cost effectiveness of an entire mod commission.  Programming is hard and expensive.

Sorry if these questions seem belated, and feel free to ignore me if you're sick of Mianite questions (Or for any reason really as I can't stop you from doing it.) But outside of Sparklez did you do much for anyone else (I personally haven't watched anything pertaining to anyone but the Cap'n) And what how did you feel about the camp of people that thought that Tom shouldn't be in Season 3 (Be it because he didn't want to do streams or some such?)

I consider James a friend and have done small things with him from time to time, but outside of that: no, I haven’t done anything with the other streamers post-Mianite.  I did get a chance to say hi to Tucker for a minute at TwitchCon, but that’s about it.  :)

Tom being in S3 is a difficult question to answer, but I would say that I disagree strongly with anyone who feels like they were ‘owed’ another season and that Tom’s a bad person for not just handing the season off.  For one thing there were other considerations, but ultimately it was his show to do with whatever he pleased.  The fact that people enjoyed it and wanted more doesn’t negate his ownership rights.

Making of Mianite Ep. 2 “Soon”

Tom may have finally announced the plans (or lack thereof) of S3, but at least MrMadSpy is in the final editing stages of episode 2 of Making of Mianite.  

This will potentially be our last video.... but...  I’m going to talk to Dec and see if I can get permission to do one last one on some previously verboten topics.  No promises, but maybe.  :)

What do you feel about tom's decision to not have a Mianite S3 anytime soon? Do you think there'll be one in a few years? Do you think the MMO will get them interested in Mianite again?

I think Tom’s announcement was stating what was pretty much obvious - Mianite was very, very demanding on people’s time and energy, and since the end of S2 they’ve all refocused that time and energy on other projects, as well as simply grown from where they were.  Several of the players don’t stream regularly (or at all) anymore, and the ones that still do stream don’t play Minecraft.  

I suspect there might be the occasional Mianite reunion or charity event or something to bring them together for an afternoon, but MMO or not I don’t personally expect to see much in the way of the original streamers doing Mianite related things. 

That’s just my personal observation though, nothing I say on the matter is official.

Do you think the end of minecraft will ever come back?

Highly doubtful.  Between mediocre reception, recording scheduling issues, and Wag having stopped producing videos, it’s not terribly likely.  I wish, though.  Was fun to work on!

Any plans to put modpacks list and such on your tumblr/website? Since we do have many types of clients such as ftb, technic, altlauncher, and many more (yikes). Plus I would love to try the trollcraft eventually at the time you guys plan to release it. And 1 last thing, would be funny to add an army of statues of either yourself or the victim of the troll at the guys. (wonder if the statue mod is available for the version of mc since it's easy to manipulate them)

TrollCraft is on ATLauncher but currently private.  We’re still modifying it for the series so we don’t want to open it up yet.  It’s been discussed, but at this point we don’t have any definite answers / timelines.

In case anyone’s curious, we’ve finished recording audio for the second episode of Making of Mianite and now it’s just in editing.  MrMadSpy is on a trip to America for Minecon so it might be a bit delayed, but filming is wrapped!
