Realized I never posted these here!

I wanted to do a design challenge for myself where I drew popular Minecraft YouTuber skins from 2012 strictly based on the Minecraft skins,

I do admit I was a sheltered kid with restricted internet access so I wasn’t allowed to watch most of these YouTubers besides like two (being ihascupquake and chimneyswift11) so I was fairly blind going in.

I do plan on doing more, you are more than welcome to suggest any you want to see! OG YouTubers are preferred though :]

(I do have them separated to include their artist notes as well when designing them)

did anyone else on here watch the og minecraft youtubers?? i never hear anyone on here talk about them, like dantdm, popularmmos, ssundee, stampylongnose, all of team crafted. like guys can we reminisce about when youtube was just letsplays that were barely edited and like 30 minutes of some people having fun?

anyways reblog and tell me how obsessed you were with your favorite old minecraft youtuber becus im going through a nostalgia like pit rn and need people who feel the same 😭😭

i hate the fact that Minecraft has become ‘mainstream’ it has breached the containment of youtube and ‘cringy’ kids.

i hate the new movie and how there isn’t any actual lore from minecraft. i havent seen the movie (so you could ignore this part) but it feels like thay turned the complex world or creativity and adventure into an escape the world film. not that you would really jnow that from the trailer of the movie though.

i miss the time when the only real mincraft themed items that were out their where the fan made items and the books ment to help the players. if you were lucky you might see something that a major company did minecraft related like the old Kellogg minecraft cereal

you look at that and you know its minecraft. it feels like there was actual love and insperation put into it. but compare this older kellog cereal to the new one

WHAT AVBOUT THIS IS MINECRAFT⁉️⁉️⁉️ oh good its green…so is st.patricks day… so is Christmas kinda. there is nothing speacial about this to make it minecraft. that like sticking an apple logo on a microsoft laptop and calling it a cross over brand. this is’nt real. I DONT WANT THIS TO BE REAL. it feels like with this one movie everything that was minecraft has been taken away. what happend to the classic golden age of minecraft with CaptianSparklz, Ssundee, Skydoesminecraft, Stampy, Aphmau (i know some of these are problematic now, please dont remind me😞)

all the hard work and creativity that was minecraft has been reduced to green and block…

it makes me sad

anyways there is my rant, this all started because i saw the frosted flakes above😞
