Keep giving those armless objects arms when you humanize them. Don't give those armless objects arms when you humanize them. Do whatever the fuck you want!

When you try to apply cartoon logic/anatomy of an OBJECT to a humanized variant, things get messy. You wanna know why? Cuz the average human can't carry items in their head (Suitcase II) or build machines worth multi-millions of dollars with their feet (Golf ball BFDI).

Give them no arms, give them robot arms, give them natural arms, it doesn't fucking matter! Unless it is acknowledged as limiting in a natural way (Cabby II) where cartoon logic doesn't apply even IN the cartoon, it isn't that big of a deal!

You can't say in mass "don't give them arms" or "do give them arms", because every OSC show takes those things into account differently! Sometimes it's shown as limiting in some shows, others it shown as completely meaningless, and in some shows (most notably Inanimate Insanity), YOU SEE BOTH! It doesn't matter!

I see a lot of hypocrisy in people who say "don't give them arms", because then they turn around and humanize Toilet with all four limbs, or just PRETEND HE DOESN'T EXIST! If you're gonna push, PUSH ALL THE WAY! Don't just drop out half through!

Both sides have good arguments, disability representation IS important, AND often times disabilities don't apply the same way to cartoon characters as they do to real people! So I offer a third perspective that I know others share: just DO WHAT YOU WANT! Have fun!
