     — The phoenix did not really mind the little girl’s staring; she had been young and curious, two traits he found rather admirable in most, after all it had been often those with wild and curious hearts, eager to learn and drawn to the unknown who had the strength and courage to set ripples in the vast oceans. 

     A warm smile is presented before he chuckles lightly, rather amused by her words. ❝That’s not something I get very often-yoi❞ being compared to another, that is. ❝And here I thought I was more unique~❞ this he speaks playfully, maintaining a casual demeanor. ❝Would you mind if I asked, how so-yoi?❞

               Of course he didn’t. No one would expect such an unusual reaction like hers when it came to something so beautiful as zoan transformations.  Vivi couldn’t really help but give away a giggle, shaking her head to herself while reminding of the days Pell would bring her to the skies, so she could fly herself.

                            ‘ I know someone who is a Falcon himself. ‘  the princess explained, calmly.  ‘ Though his feathers aren’t as bright as yours, mister. ‘

     — With a flicker of blue and gold flames, the phoenix would retain some of his human features, while his wings continue to burn bright keeping the zoan fruit user afloat; it had been difficult to miss the young girl staring but Marco didn’t want to startle her either, still he would speak with the usual friendly smile of his.

               Blinking a couple of times while admiring such a scene, the princess couldn’t help but leave that amazed look escape. It wasn’t the fact he was a zoan himself -- Vivi did grow up with two zoan users, and one of them, the guardian Falcon.  But that man, he was... different. His feathers burned like lively fire, a gorgeous mix of blues and golds flickering from his wings.

                            ‘ No... not at all.  ‘   oh, she was staring.  Just now, the bluette left a soft laughter of herself, shaking her head while giving one or two steps behind to give him space and a proper privacy. ‘  I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do this. You remind me of someone dear to my heart, that’s it. ‘

Conqueror Haki

I never actually wrote about this, but this is an old hc of mine.  But I DO believe Vivi was born with the Conqueror Haki – the only type that cannot be attained through training.  This type of haki is born with the ones who are born with the qualities of a king.

I’m not only stating this because Vivi is going to be a Queen, although this title is more than fit for a character with her qualities. Vivi was one of the first introduced characters besides the Strawhats who was meant to be inspiring, meant to lead and rule.  Whilst conqueror haki owners do not need to be in the first position, every single character who owns this type of power have the will to stand above others, and end being related or called by royalty titles due their feats. 

Vivi has a very similar quality to Luffy: her will power. Not only her will, but she manages to gain the sympathy of others and turn them to her side. This happened while she worked as Ms.Wednesday, while she needed the help of strange pirates, she has the trust of her own people as well. Her acts and steps bring her to the top. 

Be her Conqueror Haki awaken or not, it lives within her, and will be there for any future awaiting for her.

"Strawhat became an emperor I heard."

              Emperor…. To think, after everything, Luffy had come so far.  Vivi had no doubts about it since back then: he was the man who’d become the pirate king. He was in a ladder, only going up, and up, and grabbing allies wherever he’d pass through. His heart was strong, his will had no match. This she believed, and was not surprised in the slighest once hearing these news.

                           ‘ I read about it, when the papers arrived earlier. ‘  the princess announced, a growing smile painting soft features once she’d turn around to look in the horizon.  Far, far away, it almost felt as if she’d be able to watch the seas – as if she’d be able to watch the exact direction her captain was that moment.  ‘ He is finally doing it, Leader….  he’s going to reach the top. ‘

Sits completely in love while he listens to her ramble about her new princess friends.

                That Reverie has really been something! Last time Vivi showed up in that meeting she was but a child -- and now everything seemed so different. The world was different. She was different. To think Luffy and the Strawhats passed through so many lives like that .... Of course they did! Of course he met another princesses and changed their lives just like they changed hers.

                               ‘ Rebecca-san is a sweetheart! She brought the cutest creature with her, they’re tiny people from the tontatta tribe!  And oh, Kohza! I wish you could’ve seen Shirahoshi-san!! A mermaid! I couldn’t believe my eyes!  You know --  they seemed so happy to just hear about Luffy-san, even though we shouldn’t try to even mention him there! ‘   and this ramble could go for hours and hours;  the princess’ face was brightened by the most pure joy. In a whole, even though with all the extra events, Vivi was really happy for all of that.

It’s the picture of Vivi laughing that Kohza treasures most right now. For years he hadn’t heard her laugh - truly laugh.

The drought had come, and Vivi had disappeared. Whispers had arisen about the king. Kohza had seen Vivi once before she vanished, asked her what was happening. She didn’t know - or wouldn’t tell him. She hadn’t laughed at all that time. She seemed troubled. When she had gone away, Kohza grew more bitter. Where had she gone and why hadn’t she told him? He would have helped; he wanted to help! It drove him even more to the side of the rebels. But Crocodile had turned out to be the mastermind, and Vivi had returned with new friends who’d helped them bring Crocodile down.

After that, the country began to mend and Vivi laughed again. He thought he could never get enough of it.

I wanted to use my colour pencils. I drew Vivi. And then decided it needed a story to go with it.

Might expand the story a little. I rather like how it turned out ^^
