Feeling inspired so working on a new piece of embroidery!
yâknow, a lot of the ff7 playable characters lost a parent/parents tragically, or were around someone who did
but we donât hear about what happened to tifaâs mom until weâre over halfway through the game
because thatâs not what defines tifa
sheâs experienced losing herself in grief; maybe that equipped her in some way to help cloud deal with losing himself in his own regrets and self-doubt
but the noteworthy thing is that she doesnât stay in that grief
she has the resilience to take her pain and learn from it; not to put it aside or ignore it, but to find how to live life while carrying the pain of living without someone who meant a lot to her
all of this to say:
if they screw this up in the remake, then iâll be flipping tables
So much love for Tifa!
Becoming Tifa #1
A journey in fitness and self belief
I am going to start by saying that I know this sounds strange. No-one can become a video game character. Well, we'll see đ
However, this is not about cosplay. Or not mainly about cosplay.
This past year I lost a lot of myself so it's time to start again. From zero. I want both my fitness and my self belief back and, to me, Tifa is the epitome of both these things. I also want to cosplay her updated design in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
I'm not putting a time limit on this because then it wont happen. And I'm not having plastic surgery either; my chest doesn't need to match hers. Only Lara Croft can hope to compete there.
What I am doing is starting with gentle exercise and gradually increasing the difficulty. Without using a gym for the time being. I have also started to practice mindfulness but more on that in a later post. It basically involves meditation and gradually altering the way that you think to look at things in a more positive light.
The fitness side will involve running, hula hooping, planking and a 30 day challenge to start. There are other exercises I want to move on to but I don't want to start too big. Food and beauty regime will be covered at a later point too.
Eventually I will cover both making my Tifa cosplay and the release of the Final Fantasy VII remake but, until then, I hope to update this on a weekly basis but we'll see. Depends on what I have to say about the week.
Until next time; wish me luck!

The Brits 2016
My thoughts on The Brits 2016!
First of all, Ant and Dec are AWESOME! Â Always.
First live performance: Coldplay. Â Iâm not a fan. Â Enough said.
Best British Female Winner:
Adele. Â Was hoping she would win this. Â Have always loved Adeleâs music.
2nd performance: Justin Beiber. Â I do not have Bieber fever. Â Thankfully. Â I enjoyed the fact that he went silent for the audience to sing along and nobody bothered.
British Male Winner:
James Bay. Â I agree. Â Either James Bay or Calvin Harris for me.
International Group Winners:
Tame Impala. Â I have indifference to every band in the category.
3rd Performance: Jess Glynne. Â This I loved!
British Single Winner:
Adele. OMG! Â Such great choices in this category. I love Adele, however, I wouldâve picked King by Years And Years.
British Group Winners:
Coldplay. Â Whoa, I am actually surprised that One Direction didnât win this! Â Did NOT like their joke of naming themselves Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall.
4th performance: James Bay. Â One word; AWESOME! Love the song Hold Back The River.
International Male Winner:
Justin Beiber. Â Bleh.
5th Performance: Rihanna. Â I think Rihanna has gone downhill over the past few years. Â Just personal taste though.
British Breakthrough Winner
Catfish and the Bottlemen. Â I will admit that I have no idea who they are. Â Personal choice would have been Jess Glynne.
Global Success Winner:
Adele. Â I do not think anything needs to be said besides Adele is amazing.
6th Performance: Little Mix. Â Iâm not ashamed to say that I like this band. Â I love this song too; Black Magic.
International Female Winner:
Bjork. Â Another one I am indifferent to Iâm afraid.
Brits Icon Award:
The tribute to David Bowie was truly heartwarming. Â He was a great artist and a genius.
British Artist Music Video Winner:
One Direction. No surprises as the votes were cast by the public over Twitter. Â I voted for Adele.
7th Performance: The Weekend. Â I missed most of this due to a phone call.
British Album of the Year Winner:
Adele. Â No surprises there. I have the album and it is worth buying if you donât have it.
Final Performance: Adele. Â Need I tell you that I found it awesome? Â Probably not.
Iâm not going to get over Danâs (very obviously deliberate) choice of shoes anytime soon.
I can live with the shoes; itâs the too short trousers that bug the shit out of me.
Watch how I go from night troll to almost human looking in my new youtube video!
daaaaaamn obi! (insp.)
Phil looks awesome.
Dan... just because youâve been given a suit, doesnât mean you HAVE to wear it. 0_o!?
Iâm baaaaaaack!
Itâs been a while but Iâm back.
I may regret this...
