Good Afternoon,

After months of trial and error and several prototypes we finally have created the pilot product of the Nike Adapt shoe which will be powered by Samsung technology. As the faces of this new campaign I’d like to meet as soon as tomorrow to go over a few things before any scheduled press releases. I’ll be available and in the office after five pm tomorrow, however if a video conference is needed to make things happen I am more than willing to compromise.

Xander chuckled hearing his friends remarks before taking another sip from the glass he held. “You know what, you right. I’ll just step out back in a few minutes to smoke. Not trying to get banned from any more clubs.”

Xander walked into the night club and scanned the vecinity for a familiar face until he decided to approach the bar instead. “Can I have an old fashioned, heavy on the remy pour.” He nodded his head yes after the bartender asked if he would like to start a tab before sitting down while waiting on his drink. “Can we smoke in here?”

“I’m not sure about smoking, but if we can let me know.” Eissa responded. “How are ya?”

Nodding his head Xander picked up his drink once the bartender placed the glass down before taking a few sips of the alcoholic beverage. Lifting his hand he signaled for the bartender to make him another round. “I’m good though. How are you?”

Ⅰ. ◈STUDIO SESSIONS. / YOU FOR YOU.

A few weeks had passed since Xander received an email from a friend from his uni days at Ryerson, who now worked as producer. Through a series of emails the two scheduled a day to meet at a studio in DTLA to work together. Xander had some previous experience working as producer and sound engineer but since this was his first time as the actual recording artist, he was a bit nervous.

While on vacation in Greece and Malaysia, Xander took some time to find inspiration from his surroundings and managed to write a song he felt comfortable enough recording. His anxiety seemed to grow stronger with each passing day but tonight was the night that he would brush past his nerves and accomplish something he once only dreamed about.

After being stuck in bumper to bumper for traffic for close to an hour, Xander finally made his way into the quaint recording studio. He immediately began to apologize for his tardiness, which came out more like a jumbled rant. Hearing the males rant like apology, the producer he was set to work with threw up his hands and released a chuckle before assuring the male that everything was okay. Witnessing his relaxed yet collected demeanor put Xander at ease and after their brief conversation to catch up for old times, the male stepped inside of the booth and placed the snug headphones over his ears.

Grabbing his iPhone, he unlocked the screen and went into his notes app, and scrolled through the listing until he located the lyrics he’d written before extending his hand with his thumb up, signaling that he was now ready to record the song he decided to title, You for You.

Adjusting the headphones over his ears, Xander began to zone out as the music started. “You want peace of mind, but...But your heart’s at war. I think you need some love. You said it’s not enough.” He trailed off as he began to sail through the beat of the song, slipping in a few runs as he drifted off into a world of his own.

“You don’t really want to know.” She laughs watching him order his caffeinated drink. Browsing the menu she squints her eyes as she reads the menu and listens to Xander order figuring out if she’d like to try what he was having. Hearing it was her turn she smiled and stepped up towards the countertop. “Um, can I have an Iced hazelnut coffee with two shots of caramel, cream, 9 sugars, with low-fat milk please.” Stepping back she looks at the pastry’s and decides to get one as well. “Can I have a coffee doughnut as well.”

“Nine sugars? Oh can you add a coconut creme pastry too.”After the female finished placing her half of the order he removed his card from his phone case and handed it over to the cashier. Xander quickly signedbthe receipt and stuffed the amex card back into its slot on the holder before grabbing the drinks from the barista, handing off the correct beverage to Amor. With a drink in one hand and treat in the other, Xander led the way out of the coffee shop. “So is everybody going back to LA tonight?”

“Yeah…a prank was pulled and well, I was the butt of the joke.” AMOR laughs lightly now thinking of it not remembering fully what happened the previous night. “That’s so sweet! I heard Elliot is amazing when it comes to jewellery, I’m sure your sister would never do such a thing. But that’s legit the cutest thing I ever heard.”

“Prank? What happened? I’m sure it wasn’t too bad.” Xander continued to walk until the pair reached the coffee storefront. “Thanks, I really tried to go all out for my mom since she deserves it.” Stepping inside of the quaint establishment, Xander glanced up at the drink menu before stepping up to the register and placing his order. “Can I have an iced nitro cold brew with almond milk and two mocha shots. What do you want, Amor?”
