Hello, this account is dedicated to Xavier’s memory, so that he shall continue to live in our hearts.

This account is run by a few members of his family, and we encourage any friends of his to speak here as well.

Hey, do you guys still have my baby box? One of friends is going to go through hers when her dad finds it so I was just wondering if you guys have mine or did you guys throw away when I was shipped off

But your mother’s been reorganising some of your brother’s things in there since the anniversary - so I should probably wait until she’s done with her things before I go rummaging around in there. You know how she gets this time of year.

 Ps I was at the funeral. I just didn’t want Mom to see me since she sent me away for being who I am. I don’t wanna hurt her more than she was already hurting, but I truly am sorry if being myself hurt you guys in anyway I wanna say I’m sorry for being a bad son child I didn’t mean for any of it to happen. I just wanted to be myself I don’t know if I’ll ever come back home, but I want you to know that even if I said, I was never gonna go to the academy I’m doing it for Xavier

Your mother doesn’t hate you either, she’s just… well I can’t say we’re perfect, she’s just stubborn is all. I’ve talked to her a bit since then, if you want to come home that option is yours to make.

As it’s coming up on the anniversary of the inversion, I’ve done my part to donate whatever I could to funds helping those effected by the events. I urge others to do the same. Every cent helps.

2001: We we’re teaching the kids how to ice skate for the first time. Xavier picked it up faster than his sister, but she was always his little cheerleader when he decided to learn ice-hockey.

2004: Xavier used to practise every afternoon with me during the winter, he was adamant about hockey trials in the coming school year. I always thought my little boy would grow to be a star one day, his determination and beautiful smile held no doubt.

2018: Xavier’s sister was going away for university later that year, so they were very determined to spend as much time together as they could. They tried out skiing this year as well - safe to say neither of them were going pro any time soon - it tired them out in very few hours. Their father found it quite amusing.

He used to tell me about you - it was mostly positives I can assure you (/s) - but from what he’s said it sounds like he was lucky to have you there too. Thank you for being his friend and bringing so much happiness into his life.

Keep the letterman, we all deserve to have the pieces of him that we can. He would’ve wanted you guys to have it. See it as a piece of him always watching over you, with his stupid big smile and words of encouragement.

I was a Freshman at D.A.M.N the first time I met Xavier. I was new in Dahlia and had absolutely no friends.

He was the one who helped me find my way around campus after looking pathetically lost for 20 minutes.

After that he’d greet me when we came across each other around campus, he introduced me to people, who are now some of my closest friends.

And he got me into hockey. Encouraged me to join the team after going skating with a few friends. And I did. I only wish I had actually gotten the chance to play along side him..

Xavier was the kindest soul I’ve ever came across, his smile and laugh bring warmth to even the coldest of places. He is forever missed.

Ooc: every time I read this ask I’m fighting off tears:

So, know that when his mother read this she was sitting on her couch - the fire place crackling in the background - as she clutched a blanket in her hand and let the tears flow freely down her face in that moment. She looked to the family photo on the table next to the couch and cried. Half happy tears - of how her son touched the souls of so many, the words of kindness spoken here remind her of every moment from his childhood. The smiling face through tears as he got up from an accident on his scooter, his first time scoring in a hockey game, his excitement upon talking about new friends at school, even when he showed his parents around DAMN just a few years ago, everything comes back to her as she sits there.

But reading this also reminds her of how much she just misses him.

Beyond the smiles and remembering him with happiness, she just misses her son.

what was xaviers favorite ice cream?

He was always a fan of cookies and cream, but he also leaned more towards sorbets when we went out to get ice cream.

It’s alright to ask questions! This blog is a way for people who didn’t know Xavier to learn more about him. The more we talk about him, the longer he lives in memory.

I made beef and broccoli stir-fry tonight for dinner, for myself and Xavier’s mother.

It used to be his favourite.

Sometimes when I pack up the extra food I still put it in his tupperware.

I was there the day it happened. He was a hero, and he’s the kind of man a person like me strives to be.

Thank you for your kind words. We unfortunately couldn’t be there on the day to support Xavier, so it’s wonderful to hear from other’s perspectives on what happened during the inversion. It means a lot to us.

I’m sure you’re already a lovely person, there’s only so much we can improve ourselves before we have to accept that who we are already is enough.

Xavier, we all love and miss you so much, man. It's not the same without you.

Thank you for sharing this sentiment with us, hearing from Xavier’s peers is always a blessing.

I think Xavier would tell you to remember him with a smile - in these times it’s best to remember the happy memories we got to have with him. There is nothing that will fill the hole his passing has left in our hearts but the memory’s we have with him.

He was such a bright soul, and in his memory, he continues to be a light in these dark times.
