Okay, this is part of a scenario from my original character, and I wanted to share my reflections. (English isn't my first language, and I'm using a translator, so if anything sounds incoherent, I apologize.🥹)
Think about it, you have that conversation with Lestat about his mother, yes, you suffered abuse, and no matter how much your mind tries to protect itself from it, it won't change the fact that you were a victim, so he starts hyperventilating and, oops!, he needs help. You're not on the street, so you gently nudge him to sit down, and he doesn't even protest; he simply "falls" onto the sofa. You stand between his legs, his eyes wide, hand on his chest digging his claws into his own skin as if that could somehow comfort him. You bring your hand to his face and begin to breathe slowly so that he does the same, bringing his other hand to meet yours on his chest. You make him stop digging his nails in, removing his hand from the spot. Your own hand now follows Lestat's slower breathing, the vampire's chest rising and falling. He observes you with those piercing, yet still nervous, blue eyes. "What can you see?" You remember that focusing your mind on something else helps in these situations. Looking into your eyes, he answers softly, in a whisper: "You..." The answer surprises you a little, but leaves you satisfied that he managed to speak. "Great, what can you hear?" He observes you for a moment before answering: "You... your heart." The hand you placed on your face now rests on your shoulder, near your neck. "What smells do you perceive?" He places his hand over yours, which is on your chest. "Your..." Lestat doesn't take his eyes off you, now dilated, because, at that moment, only you exist...
I'm fainting just thinking about it, you understand?!😮💨😩 (Note: my original character isn't a vampire, but she's not a normal human either)
