Sometimes I wonder if Locke was jealous of Cardan. Locke's only advantage was his love talker magic. Cardan got all the attention using only his natural charm. What if Locke was jealous that Cardan got everything without the need to use magic-

"Taryn doesn't deserve all the hate. Cardan was way worse". Taryn absolutely deserves the hate. It was never about Locke. Nobody blames her for falling for his games. It's the fact she willingly let Jude take all the torture and blame for the wrong SHE (Taryn) did. That she chose a man over her own sister over and over again. And people compare that to Cardan's actions as if bullying some random classmate at school is worse than betraying your own sister. Jude knew fae are cruel. She knew Cardan was a terrible person and she couldn't trust him. She never even trusted Locke. She trusted Taryn tho. Over and over again despite everything.

Cardin and Jude’s relationship is so good because they match each others freak. Cardin throws Jude in a river and bullies her relentlessly at school? Jude curses him with the responsibility of thousands of lives and chains him to the throne of Elfhame to further her own political ambitions. And they just make out sloppy about it and everything works out because no one else can reach that level of petty commitment

Everyone talks about Cardan's love confession, but Jude's is just as good and is so underrated 😭 like SHE LITERALLY TOLD HIM SHE THOUGHT SHE WOULD BURN LIKE A WHOLE MATCHBOOK because of her feelings for him 😭

Seeing this a bit late 🥲, but yesssss!!!! I'm convinced they're besties and he's an inspiration for so many of her comics arts!!! And they definitely bond over how weird it is that all their family members think murder is a solution for everything-

We don't talk about how evil Dain is! And he's so bad that he manages to surpass Balekin!

The man went after his father's lover. Got her pregnant and then poisoned her, so his father doesn't find out. And then he started poisoning said father too to get the crown as soon as possible.

He killed a human and blamed 9 year old Cardan, which led to him being kicked out of the palace and sent to Balekin's abusive home.

Told Jude he owns her, made her stab her own hand to prove she's worthy of being his spy and made sure the protection she wanted against faerie magic doesn't include his magic.

Cardan is the worst of them all. I hate him. And he definitely hates me too. He's definitely thinking about how much he wants me dead.
