“And yet, you still keep me around. Did you ever think there was a reason for that?” Adaline lifting her hand, resting her elbow on her leg and leant into it, watching the pair bond in front of her, she knew she’d made the right decision.
“I know you can, you’re a big boy.” Her tone held a tone of teasing, but her expression was a serious smile. “I’ve been your friend for years Dom and the entire time all I’ve ever thought is that you needed a dog. And since apparently you weren’t getting yourself one anytime soon, I decided to step in.”
She listened to him with a smile, nodding at the end once the papers had been pushed away. “You’re welcome. Treat him well. He can be your mascot while you’re in the ring.”
“I’m going with--you just won’t leave?” He was teasing, obviously he enjoyed the younger princess’s company, or else he would have found a way to make her leave. Maybe she was right, maybe he did need this.
Dominik was loving on the dog, feeling the happy taps of a tail on his leg. It was almost therapeutic, calming to those nerves that had been pounding against the punching bag. “You are going to be one hell of an independent queen one day Adaline.” He admired her for that.
“I expect you to be the one holding his leash while I’m in there. Gotta have someone to keep you out of trouble.”
