It's almost hard to comprehend what just happened today. Life and death met hand in hand today, but life avoided death by a slim margin. I cannot stress how important kindness and support is to people. Be kind to one another, you just might save a life.
Life
When people who are close to you face the footsteps of near death, you really start to realize and appreciate things you once couldn't not have comprehended. I'm slowly understanding the preciousness of life..and seriously how delicate time is. It's hard to imagine that people around you that may have the veil of normal.. But what really normal is, is simply a person hiding a world behind their eyes.
Kindness.
It is said that with every kindness, you begin a ripple effect of positive energy. I have come to realize the power of kindness as of late, I have encountered and developed relationships with many individuals who extend their support and help so selflessly. It has really warmed my heart throughout these months, and I seriously feel overwhelmed (in a good way) of how ..awesome people can be. In reference to the first sentence, that positive energy inspired by others onto me has begun to further push me to do the same for others. I really see that if everyone started being more generous, and simply connecting with others meaningfully -- society will be off in a better place.
I want to just write here and thank all those in my life that have given and supported me in any shape or form. From family, friends to mentors, my life would not be where it is without the arms of all to lift me to where I am now.

Existing Resources
I had a horoscope just the other day telling me to dig up old things, and clean up. So I did, little to my knowledge I had so many random things in those conference and delegates bags I've been accumulating over the past years of events. The one really insightful resource I got to pull out was the BC Business magazine featuring the leading entrepreneurs in BC. Knowing my passion for entrepreneurship right now, I read 100+ pages of this magazine in one sitting and learned so much. One thing I did notice is, there isn't enough diversity in this field, most of the people featured are older white men, I saw two asian guys on a page -- that was it. I swear i'm going to see myself representing our ethnic culture in the future. Bring some asian power to the stage. Anyways, on top of that, I had a great meeting with my entrepreneurship mentor today, we definitely thought of some interesting ideas about potential startups I could begin on in the near future. I'm excited for the future, I just feel so pumped and ready to go already!
Also, I can't believe i'm moving to Toronto in May.. This is UNREAL.

2013 and beyond
Wow. I really haven't posted on here for a while. But I shall update!
This is freakn craaaaaaaaaaaaazy. I still can't believe 2012 is over, honestly it was the best year of my life. So many successes and failures - I believe they should go hand in hand for the ultimate journey and learning experience. I don't even know how I did it, but I came out of 2012 as a new person from all the combined experiences of the past.
Grateful? Hell yes, I couldn't have been happier about the way fate has treated me, I believe by staying opportunistic, keeping your head high, and positive will lead you to so so so many places in life. If you always keep your mind open, it will reward you back in an endless pool of opportunities. I feel so blessed to have people from all rounds of places come up to me and tell me that i'm inspiring them, or the way I'm doing things gives them true motivation to be a better person themselves.
I can't imagine how I am able to do that for others, but I will only say I am truly grateful.
For everyone that has influenced and pushed me beyond my limits - you are really what drove my year. I want 2013 to be even greater than 2012, it will be a year of potential and destination, as 2012 was a journey of discovery, growing and resilience.
Cheers to 2013!

I've wanted to watch this for a while now, but I recently got a chance to watch it with Ray, and ooooooooooooooooh dear this movie was a jewel. Let me start it off with the whole complexity of the stories that all tie into a central theme. Although at first I was a little disoriented by all the flashes of different stories, you have to just sit and enjoy the beautiful dialogue between the characters, the different make up sets that had to go through to portray multiple characters with one actor, and even the cinematics that illustrated so many ideas so well. I was in love with the idea that the whole story sets in various different times of the past, present and future. They are all connected in some way through the characters who all seem to represent something, and they all carry that key trait with them throughout the times. Think of an after-life concept that carries the soul into the next life. It is a story of connections that you must make in order to fully understand the beauty of this whole movie. Many people may have found it overwhelming, but I believe that you should be open-minded to absorb everything, and connect the dots. Especially with how the decisions of one person, has unforeseen implications in the future. Its like the souls of the characters carry the "karma" along with them. I absolutely loved the idea of the Neo-Seoul representation of humanity in the future, I couldn't be more intrigued that they illustrated a city being consumed by rising sea levels due to global warming, and if you pay close attention, you'll notice humongous sea barrier walls with portions of the city submerged. Also with the powerful symbolism behind the white and black man relationship of the slave-trade era. You couldn't help but realize that at first, the black man was the powerless one, and in the end he was the one who would have the power to save the white man. The relationship between the two gay characters was also extremely powerful. It left me to ponder the power of love, and if it really does carry into a next-life. The pianst did mention something along the lines of "perhaps in the next life, we will meet again at a more fortunate time". Ahh! Everything was just so well put together. I'm in love with all the details they have put into the movie. I would really encourage this movie to everyone. The central theme of connectivity, the power of one's actions, and the human spirit and love was really portrayed very vividly throughout the movie. I'm probably going to need to watch the whole movie a couple times more to pick up every little detail. Rating this a 9/10 for its complex beauty, the story became so simple at the end, like inter-woven stories that all complemented the grand theme. In love with the movie.
