Who do you know that really reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?
A eyebrow arched at the question, with a winded exhale of air splinting from the aged vampireâs lips. â  I think everyone if you try hard enough can remind you of someone.â Stefan spoke in a fluid and casual tone, as he shrugged his shoulders slightly. â I havenât  really given it much thought to be honest. In fact I donât watch much television to have an opinionâ Another laugh fell at Stefanâs remark.Â
I wonât ever regret you.
@deadheartsevrywhere
wishfvlsinkingâ:
âOkayâŠâ Simon raised his brow, trying to stay calm. He just had to be careful in this place. People knew about the supernatural and if they found out what he was, he might not live forever anymore. When the guy walked away, the light breeze in the air made him get a whiff of the manâs scent. He was just like him. Undead. That might be why he wouldnât hurt him. Curiosity got the best of him and he started to follow the guy. It wouldnât be so bad to befriend a few vampires, right? They were in the same situation. The only thing that confused Simon was that the guy could also walk in the daylight. How the hell was that possible? Did they drink angel blood too? Did he know about the Shadowhunters?
When the guy came to a halt, Simon could hear him speak. âWhat do you mean people are dead because of you? You couldnât contain yourself and you needed to feed?â He understood how hard it could be when you were hungry. But he refused to hurt people to he stuck to bloodbags. âThere is another way. You donât have to hurt people. Bloodbags will do the trick too, trust me.â
With the words leaving the otherâs lips, Stefan dipped his neck down in remorse, with his hands casually sliding into each pant pocket. â No, I would never willing feed off of flesh. Human life is a gift. Iâd rather  dry out than feed because I am hungry. I drink animal blood, until this town____â Stefanâs voice cracked as he stopped midway in his sentence, thinking of the life he wanted desperately but knew he would never have. â Made it worse for me with the poison break outâ The aged vampire pressed his lips inward, and went silent. As moments passed, he swiftly turned around and lifted his head up with a burdened glance returning to the other vampire.
 â I am one hundred sixty nine years old, you think I havenât thought of that?â  He responded in an uneasy tone  as his brows creased into a pained frown. â I have hurt more people than I can count and it hurts me every time.â The words slid from his lips ruefully, with another  heavy breath of air parting from his mouth. â You donât get it.â His teeth clenched  together as he proceeded further with his remarks. âHuman blood bags, human flesh, same difference. I am a ripper, I canât stop. The more human blood I have, the more  I want.
Stefanâs irides turned red,and he closed his eyes for a brief moment. â If I so come near them, than they are deadâ He can envision the almost same conversation he had with Elena years back, when Klaus had forced him into becoming the worst version of himself, The Ripper. Elena even tried to convince him he could fight  it and for a brief moment he was able to because of his love and hope Elena gave to him, but that hope had been gone for years. The pain of what he becomes as ripper, is something that never goes away.Â
antihcroesâ:
She didnât remember much, not at all but.. she knew that she could trust Stefan â no matter what. He had broken her heart before, Caroline knew that much but.. they had done so many bad things â all of them, Elena included.. who could blame them? They were kids, kids who lost too much and were thrown into the supernatural world way too young and.. Caroline could remember that when it mattered, he had been there for her. Stefan had given his life to save her, to save all of them and for that, Caroline could never hate him. He was her best friend, her partner in crime, her lover and yet.. she knew â deep, deep down that he would never look at her like he looked at Elena. She was damaged, Caroline realized.. nothing like the perfect, golden girl.. Elena Gilbert. And yet, somehow.. she had gotten everything she ever wanted â she had kept Stefan in her heart always but.. she had moved on.Â
She had her girls by her side, Ric to help take care of them, the school to keep her busy.. what else could one what? âWe matter a lot to each other and.. Iâve missed you. A lot. Hell â this is weird, I didnât even remember much until now but.. now that I do.. I know you meant a lot to me. Weâve always been there for each other, Stefan and.. I donât intend on starting to change that just now. â Tentatively, Caroline reached out, placing a hand on his arm.. offering him a gentle smile, one that she saved only for those that she truly, truly cared about. âMe too.. itâs like weâre starting to remember a different life, isnât it? One we had no idea we had.. up until a few days ago. I mean, I had no idea I had a child and now.. I have two. Two teenagers, can you believe it?â Caroline threw her head back laughing, keeping her gaze on the other.. happily noticing he was alright. At least.. he looked it. âHey.. you donât lose me, okay? Iâm still here. And I donât intend on going anywhere.. not anytime soon, considering weâre all trapped in here.â And then, she got an idea â one that she hoped would show him that she wasnât lying, that she wasnât going to leave him.. not anytime soon. Gently wrapping her arms around him, Caroline closed her eyes for a little bit.. feeling at peace. âItâs good to see you too. â She whispered.Â
Stefan was taken back with surprise as Caroline wrapped her arms around him. His chin lightly rested against the peak of her shoulder, with an earnest and  solemn expression across his face. The aged vampire had never been one for hugs, but Caroline was also his best friend, he wouldnât refuse the comfort. Stefanâs hazel hues drifted their gaze down with a  narrow exhale of air leaving both brims of his mouth.. â Ive missed you tooâ The words rolled off his tongue in a low tone of voice. With a few moments passing, he wrapped his arm around her lower back and lightly brushed his fingers down momentarily, before dropping his hand once again.Â
â Yea this town has that effectâ He spoke in a matter of a fact tone, with both eyebrows lifting in an arch. Pushing his tongue out slightly, Stefan grazed it over both rims of his lips. Memories of the two came to him. Caroline had been the once consistency in his life, after he lost Elena.  He tried desperately  to be that right  boyfriend for her, especially after she lost her mother to cancer.  It should have been easy to fall in love with his best friend, and though he loved her and even a part of him did fall for Caroline to some extent,it was still never enough. No matter who Stefan found, no one one ever measure up to Elena. His heart would not let go. â I have to tell you somethingâÂ
With a few more seconds passing, Stefan pulled away from Caroline. The solemn glance remained in his eyes. Stefan lightly grabbed her hand. Another heaved breath of air skid from his mouth. His hands remained laced into Carolineâs with his hazel hues diverting their gaze down. Silence filled the space between the two vampires for a moment longer. â I havenât been completely honest with youâ  He spoke in almost a guilt stricken tone. â My memories came back a few weeks ago. Not all, but the majority of themâ As the words fell, the aged vampire lifted his glance back up towards the blonde female. â I just didnât want  to think about my past. So much pain is surrounded with it. It was easier to pretendâ Â
stefanâs word cut her deep. she got what he meant in a way. when kai had given the choice elena could live in exchanged for bonnie, she was happy to make the sacrifice. she had done some bad things, but nowhere near what stefan blamed himself for. it wasnât fair. it wasnât like he had wanted to do all those things. it was the ripper in him. a part of him, elena knew how much he hated. stefan was the kindest, more compassionate person she ever met, but when he was in ripper mode, he couldnât control it.âstefan, its not your fault for all of that. you have to know that. you are a good man i know itâ her own voice cracked. she wished she could take his pain away.
she took a step closer âstefan you can move on from that, you taught me that. you taught me to forgive myself for the horrible things iâve doneâ elena didnât have the magic words, but he was right. she was going to say all that. âi only say it because its true. you are not a monster stefan salvtore. a monster feels no remorse. a monster doesnât care about anything or anyone, and a monster doesnât truly love. you do!â she was fighting back tears âyou have regrets, youâve done bad things, so have i, but you wouldnât let me believe i was a monster, how could you think i would let youâ elena knew if she told stefan she loved him too now, the words may not mean the same, like something she was just saying âi know iâve hurt you a 1000 times over, but i have never lied to you. if nothing else, believe my words nowâ she begged. there were others who deserved to feel this way, not stefan âyou donât understand how much i care about you stefan.â she fought the word love from coming from her lips
 With the consoling words parting from Elena, a saddened exhale narrowly skid from Stefanâs mouth. Noting the closeness of their bodies, the aged vampire took another step back, and bent his neck to the side. He averted his hues away from Elena, as he desperately tried not to gaze at her. She had a tendency to always make things better, and almost convince him he was not a mosnter,that which which he did not want. Rapid tears continued to stream down his cheek from his eyelids. In the corner of his eyes, tears  proceeded to form. â Stop doing that. Stop making this okayâ Hopelessness was in Stefanâs voice. â None of what I did is okay Elena. I hurt people, againâ  The words cracked, as he shook his head in condemnation, with sobs still leaving his throat.Â
 â I died and I was  finally at peace, away from this curse but once again, death didnât hold for me. The peace is gone.â Stefan squinted his eyes shut, with another worn out exhale leaving both brims of his mouth, while  thinking back to lives he killed just months back. The aged vampire dismissed the words Elena continued to try to claim. Hurt hitting a every strand in his heart and all he wanted to do was make it go away.â I should have been able to stop but I didnâtâ Guilt still streamed from his lips. â Over a hundred years I have been this thing and my control is still nonexistent. Weeks and weeks I have not fed out of fear for becoming him.I even lied to you and told you  I was okay because  I didn't want you be to burden with me.âÂ
 Stefan slowly reopened his eyes, finding their gaze on the female. Grief was still resting in hues â Iâm the reason you were brought into all of this. Because I was selfish and I had to know you. Iâm sorry Elena. Iâm so sorry, Now this was  your second chance  and  I wonât burden youâ  His voice continued to crack with more sobs leaving. Stefan could heard Cadeâs words play in his mind, over how he inserted  himself into Elenaâs life, causing more tragedy for her.  Â
deadheartsevrywhereâ:
elena wasnât sure why stefan was avoiding her. was he upset they slept together? was he upset how he acted when his humanity was off? was it even back on? elena could deal with a lot, and through everything, there was one thing that she could never deal with: was stefan hating her. not after everything they had been through, everything they had meant to one another. yes she had hurt stefan, by falling for damon, but he didnât hate her, or at least he said. elena felt sick. what has she done now? she went looking for stefanÂ
even if he didnât want to see her, she at least deserved to know why. since seeing him here, they had become good friends, and if anything she was owed an explanation. elena smiled as she saw stefan, and began to approach him, but was stopped. the tone in his voice was cold. colder than she had ever heard. it almost brought tears to her eyes. elena fought through the urge and continued her approach. âno! no i deserve an explanationâ she stood in front him âno matter what, the one thing that has always been between us was respect. you respected me enough to tell me the truth even if it wasnât what i wanted to hear, and vice a versa.â she paused âif nothing else, you owe me a reason why you actively avoid meâ her voice cracked. she hadnât realized how much she needed stefan in her life until he wasnât anymore. now he was alive and able to, she wasnât willing to just let him go away again.Â
With the sadness in Elenaâs voice,Stefanâs feet came to a halt. He kept his back to her for an aching moment, before idly turning his frame to face the female. The aged vampireâs cheeks dropped, with a burdened breath of air splitting from his mouth. His irides were flushed red with moisture filling his hues. â You donât get it do you.â  Stefanâs voice cracked in a crushed tone. His  face scrunched into a saddened frown. Tears began to wield themselves from his eyelids down his cheek. â I died and i had found peace with everything that I had done. The people I killed because I am this monster. And no amount of apology could make up for that. That pain never goes away, but it did when I saw you for one last time and knew if I died giving my life for you, my brother and Mystic  Falls then  maybe I can find rest in another life  â  The vampire choked out his words, before taking a step away from Elena, with another burdened exhale of air leaving his lips. Afflicted guilt ran  through every thought.Â
â But that pain is back. I will never escape it Elena.â  The aged vampire dropped his neck in submission, before compressing his eyes tightly shut, as he proceeded further with his remarks. â I killed them like it was a sport. I can hear their screams in the quietness, or see their bodies every time I go for a drink. This city is just as taunted as Mystic Falls because of me.â  A  thin sob left Stefanâ s mouth. â Because of me people could have lost their lives, their loved ones, had it not been for this  foul spell, that keeps  us trappedâ  His eyes opened softly, diverting their  gaze back up towards Elena. Elena was one person he had always been able to be honest with, more so than himself at times. â So yes I donât want to talk, because I know you. You will say the same old crap, It isnât you Stefan. But yes it is me, this has always been who I am. I allowed myself to think differently because I love you and when Iâm with you I donât feel like a monster, but that is not the reality. There is no hope to hold onto anymore, please  just leave me be.âÂ
@pcriwinklxs
With the golden sun beaming through the clouds, a thin exhale of air split from Stefanâs lips.  The back of his head buried into bushes, as his eyes squinted slightly. Thoughts of everything he had done, overplayed in his memory, It had been a couple of months since the poison had been extinguished, but the deaths Stefan caused still burned at his soul. Stefan had fed and killed so many humans, like it was nothing. They screamed in horror but he did not flinch. That wasnât the worse part, what ate at his soul, was the the notion he  enjoyed it  Stefan  turned into the monster he tried desperately not be.Â
After hours of lying on the ground almost motionless, the aged vampire could not count on hand how many times  he contemplated pulling off his daylight ring. Burning in the sun didnât sound so bad. With moments passing, Stefan sensed a defined stench, another one only a few feet away.  Another exhale of air left his lips, as he closed his eyes. The first image he saw was Elena,  and she was calling out for him. It was growing more difficult to dismiss the love he held for her, love that had never disperse, even in his death.  Silence remained between the two for a moment, until Stefan finally spoke in a hushed and guilt stricken tone. â I recognize your scentâÂ
@blodreinaxhuntress
The corner of Stefanâs mouth curled into a dim smile, as he noticed the young female approach. It had been awhile since Stefan last saw Allison. At the time, his memories of Mystic Falls were disarranged, but meeting the other in all of the confusion, brought the aged  vampire comfort. â  This couldnât possibly be Allison Argent. Who if I remember correctly said her goodbye to meâ  With the words leaving his lips sleekly, Stefanâs cheeks filled with warmth. The same warmth he felt  when he was with Elena. and even Caroline â At the risk of sounding old, itâs a pleasure to see you againâ  Stefan dipped his head down, with his smile visibly stretching.Â
Over the past weeks, the anguish and guilt of his previous life begun to suffocate him. As much as he loved his friends, in some ways Stefan wished his  memory never returned. All he saw when he looked at Elena and Caroline was pain. That pain lived with him, Being distant with people was much easier. The vampire wished he could live a boring life instead of one  in which he was a monster. A human life just wasnât a reality for Stefan, even in death
hbickittykatâ:
If you told Katherine that the first person she would see would be the love of her life in the same city as her, she wouldnât have believed you. She had been searching for Stefan since forever and he seemed to be the only person on her mind. But she knew that he wasnât thinking about her, she knew that he was probably back together with her annoying as a dishwasher doppelganger Elena. And if that were the case, he would be very stupid because she had chosen Damon over him over and over again. âStefan boo, I know youâre happy to see me. Why deny it so much?â She was being sassy as usual but this was the way that they spoke to each other. Deep down, Katherine knew that Stefan still had feelings for her even if he wanted to deny it to himself and to her. He couldnât just forget her like that. The love that they shared, it was unforgettable.
Their conversation wasnât starting out right but Katherine knew this was a front that Stefan put up with her because he didnât want to get hurt again. Katherine did hurt him many years ago and if she could change it, she would have. Stefan was the person that meant the most to her and it killed her to see how much hatred he still had towards her. âFor someone that doesnât care about me, you want to know so much. I came to find you, Stefan. I came back for you.â Was she lieing or was she telling him the truth? She would let him figure out this riddle himself. âYou look so sad. Did Elena once again leave you for your other half? You should have known by now that she wouldnât be faithful to you. Especially if she said that she loved him, too.â
" Donât  flatter yourself, I am simply asking for the safety of the residentsâ  The words  spat from Stefanâs mouth in a harsh tone. The line of his lips straighten, as the aged vampire took a step closer towards the female, with a hardened glare on her. â I have a hard time believing that,not that I care either way.â Annoyance was clear in his tone, as Stefan proceeded to speak. â I donât know why you do any of the things you do Katherine.I just know you conveniently showed back up in my life when I met Elena. Before you start professing the crap of love. Thatâs not love Katherine. I donât know what that is but love is becoming a better person because of that individual or wanting their happiness, even if it means you are not part of it.. You love yourself and that is allâÂ
Stefan lifted his chin up in an impatience, as he pushed his feet back, and once more rolled his eyes at mention of Elena. â Letâs leave her out this for onceâ Coiling his lips into an oval,a heavy exhale of air split from his mouth. Truthfully he didnât want to think about Elena and her relationship with Damon. It hurt him in more ways than Stefan could describe. That pain of her choosing his brother over him stabbed at his heart like dagger. Of course Stefan was happy his brother and Elena found happiness, but that heartbreak never really went away, even when he dated Caroline it was still there. â So just go Katherine.âÂ
closed starter for @xheroicxsalvatoreâ
needing to clear his head, simon just took a stroll through the park in the middle of the night. most people would stay clear of that place at that time, but he didnât care. besides, he could easily defend himself. or the mark would at least protect him. he just needed to get the bad thoughts out of his head. magnus, alec and izzy had told him to try and forgive himself for what he had done as it wasnât him, but it was still clogging his mind. it was tough to let that go.Â
hearing a branch break somewhere close to him, he quickly turned around, trying to see if he could spot anyone. âwhoâs there?!â squinting his eyes, he couldnât really see a thing. âtrust me, i might look like an easy target but iâm not. youâll be very surprised if you try and attack me.â the boy warned, trying to sound a little confident. he might be a vampire but sometimes his geeky, cowardly self came out.
With the boy speaking, Stefanâs hues stared ahead at him with a burdened glance.â Iâm not going to hurt youâ  The words fell from the brim of his mouth in almost a whisper.  He could smell the maleâs defined stench. The aged vampire turned away from the other, and sauntered his feet ahead. Stefan diverted his  hazel hues down to his daylight ring,while  contemplating taking it off to burn into the sunlight. As inviting as that sounded, he knew the town would only bring him back. Death wasn't an option for him. It seemed  the universe  had  a cruel fate for him. Heâd forever live with this curse, be this monster he was unable to escape.
With moments passing, Stefanâs gaze shifted up to the sky, as a heavy exhale of air  split from his lips. It had been a couple of months since the poison, but the deaths Stefan caused still burned at his soul. Stefan had fed and killed so many humans, like it was nothing. They screamed in horror but he still killed, enjoyed it. He turned into the monster he tried desperately not be. But like he told Elena many years ago, he was a predator  and the  poison only exposed and reminded him once again of who he really was.  Moisture filled his hues, with his eyes turning to bloodshot red, with  rapid tears running down his cheeks. âPeople are dead because of meâ Stefan choked out, at the thought of everything he had done, not only in DC but his life. Â
antihcroesâ:
Caroline couldnât help it but stare at him. She knew she was missing so much â that part was clear by now, but memories had slowly started to come back and yet.. not all of them. She knew he looked familiar, very much so and yet.. she couldnât associate a name with his face. All she could think of when she tried to remember the other was warmth, happiness, laughter.. much like what one should feel when thinking of their own best friend. Even if she had no memory of him, Caroline was completely sure that if she ever needed, heâd always be there for her. No matter what. And so, she found herself returning his smile, chuckling a little bit. â I.. I truly donât know. And yet, I could ask you the same. â She frowned a little bit, trying so hard to associate a name with his face⊠and yet, she could only see flashes of memory, things she was only starting to remember by now.Â
Laughing with the other, him being there for her when she needed him the most⊠Caroline didnât know much but she knew that whoever he was, he had been important to her. And that, somehow, her life would be much better with him on it. â Let me guess.. youâre also suffering from the common memory loss that affected this town? I didnât know I was⊠right until very recently.â Nodding, Caroline offered him a hand, determined to get back everything that she had lost in the past. â Caroline Forbes⊠youâreâŠâ And that was when it came to her. â Youâre Stefan, arenât you? Stefan Salvatore.â
With Stefanâs memories returning, so did the pain and anguish over his past.Past that even in a new life, he could not escape.  It was easier to pretend he knew very little of his life or people from it, especially  Elena and Caroline. Whenever the aged vampire thought of the blonde he was full of guilt. Caroline had been his best friend and there for him in some of the must difficult moments of his life, including Elena but there last  few months together was hell, especially when Stefan turned off his humanity.  When Stefan and Caroline chose to turn their relationship to something more, Stefan could not be there for her like she deserved. His heart wouldnât let him, because he was still holding onto Elena, up until the very last moments. That guilt ate at him whenever he thought of her. She deserved better than him,Â
A light laugh split between both brims of Stefanâs mouth at the response, which departed from Caroline. â Of course,what would Stefan Salvatore be without Caroline Forbes?â He spoke in a dry joking tone, with the corner of his lip curling.Stefan rolled his neck marginally to the side, as the line of his lip quirked into a wider smile. â I remember more than I use to but it still a blurâ His hazel hues languidly drifted up, catching glance onto the the female. â But then they are gone.âA soft exhale of air fell between both brims of the vampireâs mouth.  â I do know, from what I  remember I was lucky to  have you in my life and Iâd hate to think I lost you because of this spellâ  A almost saddened smile filled his cheeks. â I guess, at the risk of sounding awkward, itâs good to see you again Caroline and we will pretend  to have our memoriesâ Another laugh fell from Stefan fluidly.Â

It had been over a month since Stefan saw Elena.Truthfully, the aged vampire had been avoiding her ever since the two had slept together. Although he was a ripper with no humanity at the time, it was still  nearly impossible to escape her. Elena Gilbert never really goes away. The touch of her body against his had almost ignited his humanity in that intense and fervent night, full of blood lust and sex. Stefan had even seen Elenaâs desire for him to stay, but he couldnât. Didnât want to. The look in her eyes when he left, could almost be described as heart wrenching. If there was one thing the vampire was certain of, even with his memories faded, it was that  Elena was linked to his humanity. Humanity he had desperately tried to disperse after the lives he took due to the poison. When Stefan walks the streets today, he can still see their lifeless bodies. Hear the screams in his head. It is  taunting.Â
 As  much as Stefan tries to convince himself  of the notion that it wasnât him,he knows that not to be true. The poison only brought out what he is, a monster and a predator As the hot breeze hit  the back of his neck, Stefan procedes to walk languidly, with his hazel hues shifting their gaze around. Coiling his lips into a half oval, a small exhale of air split from his mouth. It was late, the city was almost vacant at this hour.  Suddenly Stefanâs nose flared as he smells a femaleâs scent approaching him from behind. A scent he knows better than his own, Elenaâs. The vampire ignored it, pretending she wasn't there  for a brief moment. He dipped his head down in slight nod, with his eyes shut tightly. âGo away Elenaâ The words fell from the brim of his mouth in a stern but broken tone.  The memories of Elena and Damon had resurfaced. Stefan didnât want to think about any of it. It still hurt him. Elenaâs happiness had always been most important, but knowing he wasnât enough for her but Damon was, hit at every chord in his body.Â
@hbickittykat
With Stefanâs arms crossed  against his chest, his hazel hues rolled to the side at a familiar face he knew well, as much as heâd like to forget. Katherine Pierce. The magic of  the city had convinced the vampire  for months that this was his home, the only life he had ever known. All the connections he had made over the last century of his life leading to his death, had been dispersed from his mind. However, ever since the poison hit the city a couple of months prior, many memories had retuned.  and Katherine was one of them. âWell well, look who it is ; Katherine Pierce. Let me contain my excitementâ The words fell hardly from the brim of his mouth, as the aged vampire  rolled his  neck over his shoulder, with his eyes rolling in annoyance.Â
 â Forgive my manners, but what the hell are you doing hereâ  He spat at the female again harshly.  Before turning away, Stefan  had another vision flash before him. He could see himself standing over Katherine as she laid on a better Her skin appeared to pale white. He  could see a vulnerable girl,  that seemed to have a heart, but Stefan somehow knew better.  Katherine was not what she seemed. She was different than Elena. Or maybe not, they both seemed to have annoying fixation on his brother. And just as that thought came to him,  more memories continued to resurface. Memories he didnât want. The vampire could feel his heart aching in pain.Â
@antihcroes
Stefanâs hazel hues shifted up, as they caught glimpse of a female standing inches back from him.  Her voice hit his ears with familiarity. The vampire had never been the most upbeat person, in fact he could be described as broody, but regardless, there was something about the female that brought him warmth and even comfort.  Nipping at his bottom lip, a bashful laugh departed. Stefan dropped his head,with a smile stretching across the outline of his lips.  â Why do you look so familar?â The question fell fluidly. Truthfully a large amount of memories had returned, but Stefan tried to pretend they had not, because what he did remember was full of anguish, guilt, and  pain he did not wish  to return to him. Â
It had hit barely a year since Stefan arrived to DC, with the visions  of his past life haunting him in his sleep. For a split second, another  vision flashed before him. He saw himself  eating dinner with a woman who looked  identical to the one now standing before him. He knew they were close friends; he could see that in his visions Another small smile filled his cheek, as his neck rolled to the side. âI donât believe we have met. Whatâs your name?â Stefan asked politely, lifting his glance back up towards the other.Â
