Well, they'd established it wasn't off the table for either of them. Awesome! So for now, he eased off, pressing one last kiss to her neck before drawing back. "Aight, linda."
He took their plates from the coffee table, headed to the kitchen, and dumped them in the dishwasher. Then he downed a glass of water before filling up another and bringing it back out to Rapunzel. "Best water in Rio," he announced and held the glass out to her with a kind of flourish.
Maybe he should be embarrassed or sheepish or something about walking around totally naked in front of her, but he didn't care. He had nothing to hide, and she'd had nothing but praise for him so far.
A little, "Thanks," escaped her as he gathered up the dishes, even though it wasn't as if he expected her to do the dishes for him. Still, she didn't like for things not to be clean. It made her uneasy. That felt like it was bound to come up in the future.
But she watched him go, admiring his figure as he did, even craning her neck to keep watching the movement of his muscles as he walked. He was so gorgeous, and she desperately wanted to draw him, live and in front of her, instead of from memory.
As he returned with the water, she sat up so she could take the glass and drink, grinning at his presentation, and after a long pull, she leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Thanks. Hey, what are the rules of having visitors at your practices? And, more importantly, would you mind if I came to a practice of yours? I kinda wanna get some life drawings while you're in motion and there's not a huge crowd jostling me, or high stakes of an actual game. Match."
Visitors? Huh.
Usually, that sort of thing was reserved for family, wives, long-term girlfriends. Not best friends who you'd been on four dates with. Still, he liked the thought of her watching him while he worked so hard at training. While he thought, he settled on the sofa beside her, leaning back and getting comfortable once more.
"... I'll speak to our coach," he offered in the end, giving her a crooked smile. "And, hey, if not, I'll kick a ball around outside for you." It wasn't as if he couldn't practice his footwork at home, too.
