Powerline technician is a job where you're on call most of the time, so Karasu is able to go pick up some canned food for Robin Hood at a time when most people are still at work. It also happens to be when the expedition from Staves Rest is visiting Crescent Corner.

Too short to see over the shelves and a bit distracted, he bumps into one of the visitors who is oddly... familiar... why does he know him? He gets the feeling this guy - Ren Amamiya - is important, somehow. He calls him "Akechi" - was that his name? It seems familiar, but like it belongs to someone else...

Sense memories - a plastic bottle of juice in a bathhouse, a sword in his hand, green felt, a fake smile, the smell of gunpowder... who was he for Loki to find him, and why is he here now?

Amamiya is afraid of him. The cat tells him to give him some space. He does - this isn't the time or place to press further, and he has a lot of fragmented thoughts to process...

He was human, and Amamiya was a friend - his only friend. He was a monster, a force of nature, and Amamiya was an enemy - a danger to his singular and life-long goal for justice. He was a prodigy, a celebrity, and Amamiya was nothing - a criminal living in an attic. He had no one - hadn't since his mother had died, and though she'd tried her best, his existence had been what killed her - and Amamiya had a whole network of friends and supporters and even those that knew what he really was loved him for it.

Everything is broken up and filtered like through a kaleidoscope but he's certain whatever happened is centered around Amamiya - the nobody, the beloved, the criminal, the hero, the scapegoat that thought to get in the way, and his friend.
