Skye never should have bought the piece of junk car that she did, okay piece of junk was harsh, but it was racing green 68 Ford Mustang. The body work was fine, it was the engine or maybe the gearbox that was the problem that left her broken down at the side of the road.
A growl of impatient left her as she kicked at the tyre. "Piece of shit!"
"So you travel a lot?" Aaron would ask as he turned the corner. "I don't think I ever took the time to travel, you must feel so free" he'd smile to himself. Now pulling into the diner he'd park the card and shut the engine off.

"You just bought that thing?" Aaron shook his head, "man.. What rotten luck...". Luckily the nearest diner was only a couple of miles down the road, the drive would only take a couple of minutes. "don't worry, my friend will get it in working order for you to get back home. You're not even familiar with these parts are ya?"

Once Skye was in the car Aaron shut the door and went around to his side. At the driver's side he'd get in, "Well," he'd chuckle and buckle his seat belt, "I think you're the first one!". Aaron would then remove his sunglasses. The sunlight made his caramel brown eyes sparkle as the rays hit them. Sighing, he'd start the car "honestly I couldn't leave ya there. You looked like you were having a pretty shit day" he'd say as he drove off towards the nearest diner.

"Oh C'mon, you seem to be having a rough day. The least I could do is buy you some dinner" Aaron would grin at Sky. He'd look her up and down again, then start towards his car "my buddy will take care of the car for you. Now let me take care of you! How does.. Some burgers and fries sound?" he'd open the passenger door for Sky. His car was clean and free of clutter and had leather seats.
I hate to do this, but I am at risk of losing my apartment with nowhere to go. My bank account is in the negative and I have to make some extra money and fast! If anyone is willing to donate I am leaving my CashApp open ( $MikaMW ). You may also purchase artwork from me as well, I do primarily make portraits and character design, such as these below...

"We'll call a tow truck," he already began dialing the number, "if you want I can give you a drive home?". He'd look at the girl with, eyebrows arched. "I really don't mind. Cant just leave ya at the side of the road like this!". Through his sunglasses he'd look the girl up and down, she was a pretty one that was for sure.
He'd grin and cheeky grin and put the phone to his ear, "hell, you hungry? I was going to grab some food anyways-oh hey Dan!". Turning his back to the girl he'd tell the man on the other end the situation, that the car was dead and it needed a tow. Once everything was set up, he'd end the call and turn back, "he should be here in a half hour!"

"Radiator?" Aaron walked up to the girl with his head cocked to the side. He'd hold out his hand and grin handsomely, "names Aaron, I used to fiddle around with cars growin' up so I may be able to help. Let me take a look?" he'd go around to the front of the car. Raising the hood he'd take a look and examine the engine. Reaching down he'd begin checking things one by one, "well your radiator is not the problem that's for sure.. Ah ha-" he closed the hood "it looks like you need a whole new battery. Do you want to use my phone? Is there anyone you can call?"

Aaron had just gotten off of a late shift at the hospital. Saving lives, surely did get exhausting. Having worked eight sixteen hour days straight, he was in much need of a day of rest. Windows down and the wind flowing through his long chestnut brown locks.
As Aaron drove down the road he saw something off in the distance. A car, and then a girl. "Hm?" he glanced her way and contemplated continuing on his way home - but something told him he should stop. At least to see what the problem was.
But he was tired.
So tired.
Sighing to himself and easing in the brakes, he pulled over to the side of the road; right behind her car. Reaching into the glove compartment he took his sunglasses and put them on. Opening the door and stepping out he looked towards the other vehicle, "ya stuck?" he questioned as he walked around the car assess the issue. "I'm pretty good with cars, maybe I can help?" he would ask as he averted his gaze to the girl. Running his fingers through his hair as he did so.

plot: fifth one in this post open to: any
Jude often reminds himself as he waits in between filming different scenes that no small town can compare to Los Angeles. He’s not one for the glamour of it all, but the last five years of chasing a silly dream to be an actor have made his detest into an understanding. Having to go from that to a place where there is only one place with decent coffee is a challenge.
Even the townspeople know there is no place for a film cast and crew to be there, he can feel it. Every time he steps into the diner that gives off the rustic vibe without even trying, he can feel eyes on him; an outsider, that’s what he is. In LA, practically everyone is an outsider ― so by default, no one is. You can come from Seattle chasing your destiny and fit right in.
Here? Here, he orders coffee and waffles before even taking a seat at a stool from someone whose look screams that Jude’s not one of the locals. It’s not particularly comfortable, but it’s his only refuge from co-stars who make him nervous or can’t imagine themselves at a place such as this.
“Hey, can I get a little,” he motions with his fingers, “extra whipped cream for the waffles? The craft service at the set is… scarce with good options.”
"Coffee with soy milk?" Lyla smiled at the customer as she set down their order. Setting down the cup she took out her little booklet, "Anything else dear?" she asked as she brushed back her hair. When the customer confirmed that the coffee was all that they wanted, Lyla flashed her beautiful bright smile and just as she was about to head off she heard the snapping of fingers. Huffing, she put her smile back on and went to the customer trying to get her attention.
"Whipped cream? Absolutely dear, just one moment!" he had mentioned a set. She just assumed he had something to do with the movie that was being filmed in town. Lyla figured he was a part of the film crew, like a cameraman.
Popping into the kitchen she grabbed up the can of whipped topping and hurried back out to his table. "Whipped cream, coming right up!" she shook the can then set it on the table so he could use as much as he liked. "There you are!" she'd sigh, then she noticed his coffee cup was half empty, "Would you like another coffee?"

Abel had never been in this establishment before. Being just another Saturday night, Abel was looking for a way to fill the void deep inside. Some alcohol, maybe even some meaningless sex? The band was on a break, and Abel had been rather lonely since everyone else seemed to be busy with their own significant others and families.
Approaching the bar and taking a seat Abel finally removed his sunglasses and tucked them into his pocket. "Scotch," he said as he pulled out his wallet "on the rocks".
Abel smiled back at the woman whom he could only assume was the one staring at him. He'd watch her from the corner of his eyes as he'd take another drink of his scotch. Swirling the ice in his glass, now half empty. As the woman finished her third drink he'd stand from his seat. Grabbing uo his wallet and picking up his glass to take it with him. A grin on his face, he'd walk over to where she sat. "Seat taken?" he'd take a glance at her and notice the look in her eyes.
High out of her mind.
"Tell you what-" he'd sigh as he sat on the barstool next to her, "next one's on me.". Snapping his fingers he'd call the bartender over "another scotch and whatever this fine lady wants!"

Abel pulled out a fifty from his wallet and slid it across the counter. He'd watch the bartender as his drink was poured, then slid his way. Picking up the glass with a sigh, Abel would take a sip. Closing his eyes and savoring the flavor of the scotch on his tongue. Licking his lips and opening his eyes, he'd take another sip before setting the glass back down on the counter.
-Clink-
He felt eyes on him. Of course this was normal, being who Abel was eyes were on him at all times. But something felt, different. Off. Cocking his head to the side he'd take a look in the direction he felt he was being watched.

"Dammit.." Sora cursed under her breath as she opened the door and climbed out of the car. Slamming the door shut she moved around go thr front of the car and lifted the hood. "Why.. Why now?" Sora grumbled, punching the front of the car then stepping back. Placing her hands behind her head as she assessed her situation.
Here she was, out in the middle of nowhere. Her car was completely dead, and she had forgotten her phone at home. Needless to say, Sora knew that she was screwed.
