Alone with the moon

i’m going to reach down and cup the ocean water with my hand. and you’re not going to feel it.

salt and spider webs, half a full moon. you’re not here to sing about it with me by the candle light.

You never wanted me, you never wanted me. running through fields of grass, untamed and laughing in scratches. ocean pulling at feet, salted kisses

I dream of what you’d say to me.

would it be nice? Would it be soft? I’m not used to that. I know, I know

you never wanted me.

everything we ever talked about is whispering wind in my ears half the time.

again, I should be sleeping. but somewhere in another dimension we’re dancing. our hands clasped together like lace. it feels yellow. a memory or a dream. A place that perhaps we both know.

something as romantic as cherries

Who would of thought 

The pit we spit out

Is the reason that 

We eventually bloom 

Your dark syrup 

Staining, like paint on canvas 

A master piece 

in abstract disguise

If I put you in my mouth 

Wrap my tongue around you 

Your juice is sweet, caramelized 

And cruel 

The summer heat wraps us up 

As we bite in to 

One another
