Day 3 rolls in with Empress Cygnus! Our light and hero, Empress Cygnus rules over the Maple World, forming the Cygnus Knights in the defense of her great power, and the Maple Alliance, to protect the world from the influences of the Black Mage.

In the FriendStory AU, where Cygnus and her knights are set as regular civilians in present day Korea, she finds herself having to learn to deal with corporate matters, given a school to run for experience. She escapes from her packed schedule whenever she can, and in a replay of the scenario in Chapter 1, an unexpected event occurs...

FriendStory is very close to my heart, not just in gameplay, but in concept too! It’s been a long time coming since we’ve expected a high school AU for the characters of the Maple World. It was amazing when it launched, and it remains one of the best parts of MapleStory to this day. The introduction of Empress Cygnus and her knights back in the day was pretty controversial, but overtime I’ve warmed up to the idea of them. I’m pretty sure Zeynith thinks they’re amazing too!

For Day 2, Zeynith encounters an old friend? Foe? A troublesome character who’s intent on being as mysterious as possible!

LG/3′s an old character I’ve had, one of my first when playing MapleStory back in 2006. Her outfit’s a callback to that era, and she’s inherently evasive, referencing her ability to adventure into high-level locations she isn’t meant to be in. It’s been eons since she’s been active, so her going missing fits the bill quite well! Zeynith follows in her steps unknowingly, surpassing her legacy from where she had left off at.

I haven’t partaken in OC Week in a while, so I’m here with my newest addition to my list of characters! This is Zeynith B. Celcius, a night lord from MapleStory, modeled after a really old, regrettable hermit I had.

Hopefully I’ll be able to talk about Zeynith in the next few days, but for now, here’s a little more information/references on her!
