First time ever going to a skin fair and it's great! I haven't been in SL in some years and to see a lot of businesses grow so much is amazing to me.
I've been searching for stores that sell African American skins and I have seen some beautiful ones that I purchase from faithfully. I have one skin from this particular seller (LOUSEKI).
In the first picture, none of the tones are labeled but in the store THEY ARE (second picture).
But seeing how this was a seller that didn't have many skins and the tones look the same in the store, I went ahead and purchased the tone I THOUGHT I was getting (should've trusted myself instead of the seller), I never have any problems buying skins because the TONE IS ALWAYS LABELED as it shows in their store.
Long story short, I contacted the seller and asked for 1 refund because I ended up purchasing 2 tones and to receive the actual tone I wanted. This is the conversation:
[06:38] Eumei Mirae Locke: Unfortunately I cannot tefund you before you deliberately bought the Amber and Mali tone. It is advisable that when you are purchasing a skin, you check to make sure you are buyng the right tone.
[06:38] Eumei Mirae Locke: However, if you would like to pay for Chocolate, then that is what we can do
[06:39] dєiℓα: I understand that but they aren't labeled, it's just the tone that I can visually see
[06:39] Eumei Mirae Locke: Right clicking a color and clicking edit will show you the name, so unfortunately I cannot accept that excuse
[06:39] dєiℓα: Okay, no problem
[06:40] Eumei Mirae Locke: Sorry for the inconvenience. Even though this is the first time it has happened, I'll take note and make new vendor buttons with labels so this doesn't happen in the future.
[06:40] dєiℓα: Mmk :)
I feel like as a seller, this is bad business but also irresponsible on my part, I shouldn't trust that a store is going to do something right to correct their WRONG.
Just a lesson learned, high end skin stores never do anything such as this, not labeling their tones to prevent a situation like this. Don't get me wrong, the skins are beautiful and I'm sure they're rising as a skin seller but they just gotta do better for customers, because of this interaction, I probably won't purchase anymore from them.
