What if a high elf and an orc liked the same girl?! Lol could you do headcanons of them competent for her hand? What would they do? (Up to you who she chooses)
I’m going to use it the elder scrolls as my base for Orc and High elf culture because I’m more familiar with it. Also, I’ll give you the option and outcome of choosing Murzuug (the orc) or Faseen (the high elf).
Murzuug (Male Orc) x Female Reader x Faseen (Male High Elf)
Murzuug (Orc)
Murzuug knew he wasn’t going to become Chieftan. He was too soft, too weak, and rejected Malacath’s teachings.
He had a medium build, but small for an orc. His skin was was olive in color and his hair was long and brown, put up in a messy sort of bun. He had a large scar going across his left eye.
He didn’t want to half multiple wives and then die young, to be killed by his son so there could be a new Chieftan. He didn’t want to fight and kill his brothers or see his sisters be married off.
He moved to the city at a young age, being cast out by his clan.
To make ends meet, he took a job as a bodyguard to a high elf diplomat named Faseen. It was easy enough. Even though he was weak by orc standards, men and other met in the city never gave Murzuug a problem.
Orcs outside of the strongholds were a rare sight, so Murzuug was often looked at with contempt or fear. This worked well in his job, but worked against him in his personal relationships.
Faseen (High Elf)
The fifth son of a King in the Isles. His father set him to become acquainted with the daughter of a high elf merchant operating in the city.
He had light blond hair, tan skin, and was extremely tall and regal looking.
Due to lineage and status being so important to High Elven culture, there was an unsaid expectation that Faseen should wed this elf.
Faseen hired Murzuug to be his bodyguard due to the sinister reputation of the city.
It was a purely professional relationship except when Prince Faseen would ask about Murzuugs defection from his tribe and family, asking if it was worth it. Murzuug always answered the same, it was worth the pain of isolation to be who you are and live how you want.
This struck a cord in Faseen.
General headcanons
You worked as an apprentice to an old khajiit alchemist named Dro’Mokir. He was a great teacher and like a second father to you. He often sent you out to buy ingredients or go on deliveries, due to Dro’Mokir’s lack of mobility in his old age.
You ran an order that only came in with an address and payment, but no name was left. You thought they might be being discreet. Many older men with intimacy did the same.
You quickly realized that this order was to the richer part of the city and immediately felt uncomfortable. You stuck out like a sore thumb over there and every mumble and whisper seemed to eat at you.
You walked up to the largest house on the street, and thankfully you were let inside by the numerous staff members.
You met Murzuug and Faseen at the same time. The orc stared down at you with a look you couldn’t place. The high elf elf in contrast looked at you with suspicion.
It would turn out that you would have a delivery to the large mansion everyday. You quickly became friends with Murzuug due to his kind and open personality. Though it did take you a bit longer to open up Faseen’s shell and call him a friend as well.
Choosing Murzuug:
Murzuug would shyly ask you out, being careful not to offend you and do this right. He had liked you for a while but had to research courting techniques for humans.
He had rehearsed what to say the entire night before and brought you out into the courtyard for maximum romanticality.
When you accepted, he was ecstatic. He pulled you into a bear hug and unintentionally lifted you off the ground.
Due to all of his knowledge about love and human courting coming from books, you had to explain a lot of stuff to him.
One morning you kissed him on the cheek for the first time. He looked at you with a blush and a stupefied expression.
“So, when are getting married?” He asked in a serious way. You nearly did a spit take.
“What?!”
“You kissed me,” he said in an almost accusatory tone.
“Kissing on the cheek does not mean marriage, Murz,” you explained in the most even tone you could, the sweet orc had almost given you a heart attack.
“Oh, forgive me my lady,” he said, looking more than a bit embarrassed. You had to get him better relationship books.
100% gentleman with you. He is the sweetest orc around. He will open doors, help you carry things, and will randomly give you romantic gifts like flowers or sweets.
Also is 100% ready to throw down if someone is insulting you or your relationship with him. You’ve had to beg him not start fights with drunken idiots commenting on your interracial relationship.
Murzuug didn’t outright compete against Faseen to win your attention due to the fact that he was completely oblivious to Faseen’s affections towards you. Murzuug was more concerned about making himself the ideal partner for you.
Faseen outwardly approved of the relationship. Internally, he was conflicted. If he could not have you, he was happy to know his friend would be there to make you happy.
Choosing Faseen:
He didn’t really ask to date you in a cute way. It was a day like any other and you had gone over to make your daily potion delivery. Faseen asked to talk with you in private for a moment. When you were about to ask why he had brought you here, he kissed in a passionate and almost lusty way.
He asked you if he could take you out, and you said yes. Faseen went right back to making out with you.
The minute Faseen knew that Murzuug liked you as well, he knew he had to take action. That’s why he asked you out in such a rushed manner.
He is extremely protective of you. He wouldn’t let his father know why he had broken off his engagement with the merchant’s daughter or refused to return home. Faseen eventually had to choose between you and his family, and he chose you.
Faseen got a well paying job at the local university as a professor of literature due to his extensive education back on the Isles.
Faseen hates PDA, but will shower you with affection once at home and in private. He literally will treat you like a queen.
Faseen loves giving you full body massages which usually leads to stuff that’s a bit hot and heavy.
“You are the light of my life,” he whispers into your ear before lightly biting at the lobe.
“Faseen!” You say breathlessly as his hands rub up and down your sides.
“My love,” he says with reverence, eyes full of admiration.
Murzuug still stuck around as Faseen’s and now your bodyguard, saying he would protect both of you with his life.
Murzuug was a bit melancholy. On one hand, he was happy that both you and his friend were happy together, though, he wished you could have been with him instead.
