Eddie had just got home from a meeting in which he was planning his rest of the year. He was in talks for part that sounded amazing and he was looking forward to working with the director who had done amazing work before. It was crazy how the awards season seemed over so quickly but he was so proud of his girl. Someone he had been missing a lot though. He figured it was still early in LA so a call would be made later. He scrunched his eyebrows together when he heard a knock at the door - not expecting anyone. Eddie opened the door to a wide smile on his face. “Emma? Wh-What are you doing here?” He beamed.

In all the things Emma had packed, she’d forgotten to grab the key she had to the flat so it was a tense few moments of Emma trying for figure out what they were going to do if Eddie wasn’t home yet. Thankfully, he was and when he opened the door, she grinned over at him, “Afternoon,” she hummed, curtsying as best as she could with their daughter and her bag in her hands, “We’re having some much needed time off to spend with you.”

Things had been insanely busy lately but Emma had finally decided enough was enough. She had organised for her and Emmy to meet up in England with Eddie and his family for a much needed time away from the hustle and bustle of LA. He didn’t know they were coming and that’s exactly how she wanted it. With a small bag full of stuff for Emmy, Emma made her way to the flat they owned in London and knocked, hoping Eddie was home.
