Phrynoidis asper, or the Asian giant toad, is a species of true toad capable of reaching 5.5 inches in length. These Southeast Asian natives live near streams and rivers, often hiding under submerged stones throughout the day. Theyâre also quite hardy, often found in environments which are polluted and absent of other frog species. Images by Mike Pingleton.
