I love how like meep - for lack of better words - Sam is throughout the series. Like it’s so endearing that there’d be a big moment of something and then in the cool down from it Sam’s just standing in the background, when Dean or whoever else is doing something, with a silly little (sometimes) awkward look on his face just like “welp”. And it’s just so adorable. I feel we overlook these adorably awkward moments for some of the more obvious ‘little brother Sam’ moments. Anywho.

thinking about it, what I would have paid for to see like a supernatural x psych type episode. like with how supernatural did their ghostfacers episodes. like imagine Sam and Dean encountering Shawn and Gus and they’re like not sure how to actually deal with them. Because you know the second Shawn says “I’m a psychic detective” and then introduces Gus with an extremely out of pocket name, those boys aren’t going to know what to do with them. Idk I just think it would be absolutely hilarious and like you know for a fact that Sam and Dean would seem like the insane people to Shawn and Gus.

re-watching some of my favorite psych episodes in honor of the 20th anniversary…and I feel no one gives enough credit to how seriously and ridiculously they take their episodes where they recreate/reference iconic shows and such. like their ‘dual spires’ episode is one of my favorites for how like serious it seems at times and then they just pan over to gus and shawn just standing there. also the special theme song for the episode?! iconic beyond words. I know this probably isn’t a new thought but like I feel this episode really highlights how the show is as a whole like there’s serious and tender hearted moments and then you get slapped with the most out of pocket ridiculous thing. I just love it.

so like I never got further than like some of the first season (?) of Get Schooled (I stopped reading way before that chapter and it’s subsequent cancellation) but I really did like the kdrama adaptation of it - Teach You a Lesson - and it was interesting seeing how they choose to adapt it into the show format. Obviously spoilers, but they definitely did seem to like speed things up in the way of informing the audience of things that weren’t explicitly mentioned within the first chapters. I think an interesting thing for me might have been how we were immediately informed of both Hwa-jin and Gang-seok had relations to the teacher (Ga-Yun) who died two years prior to the establishment of the bureau and subsequently each other, past the obvious work relation and like this isn’t a major difference and ik it was probably down this way because it’s only 10 episodes but I was just surprised they didn’t reveal it maybe in the second or third episode. But it does make sense in a way with how in the forefront it is in the show. Again like I didn’t continue really any further with the webcomic just because I never got back to it/lost interest but I did really like the direction they took with the show, especially with giving the characters personality and they felt like there was more to them in this than in the comic. I really enjoyed the mix of comedic moments with the action and more serious moments of reflection on the modern education system - specifically Korea’s modern education system - and how there is a major issue with/an epidemic of extreme violence of students and teachers and how it leads to a fostering of an abusive environment for everyone involved. Overall I seriously enjoyed this series and for a webcomic that I had once found interesting it definitely touched upon an interesting way of addressing the violence within the South Korean education system.

ok so ik im so late to this and probably wrong about it but could it be assumed that x-files and law & order svu are in the same like present “universe” like canonically Munch is in three separate shows that all interconnect Baltimore Homicide, X-Files (S5 E3), and Law & Order: SVU. Like ik X-files did a ‘Cops’ episode but like I think that’s the most they did with placing X-files in a real world reality (by that I mean that it’s somewhat breaking the 4th wall in a way that places the show into a somewhat reality space where I’m some iteration this is reality). So with that like with Munch being specifically placed in this X-files episode does that then mean that the ‘reality’ that Law & Order: SVU is in is that same one that X-Files is in? Idk maybe I’m not making sense or maybe I’m just stupid lol.

I’ve been having some chats with my dear friend about omegaverse and like who would be alphas, omegas, or betas in various fandoms we like. So here I present to you my personal supernatural omegaverse assignings! (Again these are my personal thoughts)

Dean is an alpha BUT he’s such a maternal alpha, like he very strongly is the leader, caregiver, protector type/side of an alpha. He’s mistaken as an omega when people see this maternal side to him, but then the moment something happens to Cas or Sam……well. Like I feel he did some soul searching (some how) while Sam was at Stanford and came somewhat more to terms with how he has a fluid relationship with how his alpha identity presents and works for him (and like this can definitely be seen in the later seasons).

Now Sam is an omega but, BUT! like dean he’s assumed to be a different presentation. When younger (like right after presenting) bc of their father and like dean’s own complicated relationship with his presentation, Sam is just assumed to be a beta because he just doesn’t seem “soft” enough to be an omega but he’s also not “tough” enough to be an alpha. Like he only really comes to being seen and like understanding his omega side when Dean shows back up. Like idk it’s that security of having dean back with him even if life was so great when at Stanford that finally lets him become more comfortable showing his omega side. Especially in the earlier seasons Sam does try and take care of dean in his own ways.

Like the only times Sam and Dean are actually seen as their true presentations is when they’re together. Like oh yeah whoops Dean is an alpha, you shouldn’t have tried that with Sam. And oh yup Sam is an omega that boy is sad and pathetic but really only the most when with Dean.

Now Cas is kinda special. I see him as having been an alpha but then he became beta. Let me explain, I see angels as having no actual “presentation” but they often come off as alpha bc that’s the closest thing humans can comprehend them as. But with how long Cas spent with Sam and Dean and how he interacts with humanity in the later in the series he slowly becomes beta. He’s very much a more dominate beta, like he still has those alpha aspects but not enough for people to mistake him as such. He’s very much a beta.

ok so random but it popped into my head but shawn is a girl group stan - like he knows at least one girl group from each gen - but he does love him some gen 3 boy groups. i can definitely see gus as a solo artist stan - mainly female solo artists - and he does enjoy the gen 2 boy groups.

oh and they definitely love miku, and it totally started as something kind of ironic but then they got way too into it.

I have to say I love how much we’re getting from Dex this season. Also love how he’s on this weird like “good guy” whatever. Like yes let’s have him doing things that fuck over the bad people but let’s have him do it in his fuckass moral way. He’s just having a field day doing whatever.

- And like there’s something just so weird but also off-puttingly charismatic about him, dude just doesn’t give a fuck and I love it.

I’m literally screaming!!!! Not only does Adam hold her shoulders when telling her he’s glad she’s alright, he’s also rubbing his thumb back and forth soothingly while he holds her!!!! AND she’s holding his wrists and rubbing her thumbs back in forth in a soothing manner as well!!!! Oh this is huge.

Something something them only showing us what Morgan and Adam are up to in the beginning of the episode while the crime is happening. And they easily could have included Wagner and whatever the fuck he’s doing during the opening but no it was only Morgan’s and Adam’s morning in the opening…..hm food for thought.

* and yes like I know obv w/ Morgan she’s the main character but it’s interesting how it was just showing her and Adam’s mornings spliced between the crime happening. Easily we could have gotten Daphne’s and Oz’s mornings as well.
