A while back, I made a post saying I would like to try and collect unused MySims characters/character designs, such as promotional sims.
Uh maybe a bit longer than a while. Well, I've been on a MySims kick recently and decided to actually do that. So here we go. I'd first like to thank and credit the MySims Wiki and the Cutting Room Floor for doing a lot of the legwork for this! I'm gonna first go through the MySims wiki catalogue and I'm also just gonna give them names for my own convinience. Sone of these images are screenshots I have taken from various trailers, so please forgive the quality!
The Sim on the left is called Simone Simpson. The blonde one is unamed but I think Simone and Stephanie sounds nice together, so I'm giving her the placeholder name Stephanie for my own records lol. You can see where Simone gets her name from here, where you can also see a cute design for a PC talking to Rosalyn:
"Stephanie" also appears on this magazine at the very top, including appearances from other unused Sims at the bottom right and the male Sim next to Gino. Guy next to Gino is giving Greg, not sure why lol. Bottom left is an early Iggy design, I think they should reuse him, call him Phoenix:
This character render has apparently been named Tim after the executive producer for MySims, Tim LeTourneau. He even has a figurine made after him, but he does not appear in any games. :(

He's so cute! I'm giving him the name Freddy based on a scrapped character in the code for the og MySims. He can also be seen on this magazine cover:
Coincindentally, the next unused Sim is the pink-haired kimono girl on the rooftop of the above. She is so cute! There is a palette swapped version of her here with darker skin:
I feel like they are besties that go clubbing a lot, so I think Melody and Cynthia are a good fit for them. The guy with spiky hair is also a promo Sim. Since it says hipster outfit, I feel he has a kinda out there name, like Wallace.

Regarding this teaser trailer, I have not included any of the clearly earlier designs of Clara Belle, Ray and Iggy, because they look too much like themselves.

This cutie. I am so sad she is not in the game. I have always thought thi sone is the scrapped foodie Sim Autumn. I like to think she is because of her gigner hair :)

Just know, if I knew how to mod, I would add every single character back in to the best of my ability. I don't think mMySims really allows custom characters outside of just replacing already existing ones, but a woman can dream.

nobody tells you this bc itโs stupid but the best thing to do while on your period is play the sims 4 on a laptop in bed. not only is the sims 4 more fun when youโre emotionally disregulated but the processing power required for the worlds least optimized & shittiest video game of all time will cause your laptop to actively try to kill itself and depending on your position while playing the 3000 degree nuclear meltdown occurring in your lap makes a wonderful natural heating pad.
