“No, it’s that whole ‘adorable’ that’s the issue here…!” What kind of guy would feel happy about being called adorable? Even more so when you were a shrimp with a baby face and no one seemed to take you seriously…
Somehow that all seemed very depressing. This was not exactly how he had wanted their reunion to turn out, especially not seeing White try so hard. Trust him to make an insensitive comment and screw things up.
“Black? Now that you mention it, I think I have seen him around. But I wasn’t sure because I thought he’d be back in Hellsalem’s Lot with you.” Uh-oh, this really seemed like some landmine he was about to step on. “You’re twins, right? I bet it must be hard to be apart… I mean, of course I’m missing Michella as well, but I can’t even imagine lacking someone who’s always been there.”
Hearing the journalist’s words put her at ease-- prompting her to lift her head, verdant orbs staring momentarily at him in silence.... His words gave her the slightest bit of hope. She thought that she would have lost her other half honestly-- Especially with how big the unfamiliar city of Koi was and how she had been quite alone in Hellsalem’s Lot even before she woke up in Koi, with how both Leo and Black hadn’t visited her for weeks. It all sent her into hopeless panic, but now...! She might have actually had a chance to find her brother.
“Yeah.... Sorry, I’m probably being selfish, aren’t I? You’re probably really worried about your younger sister....” And Leo most likely holds his sister close to his heart, as well. Kicking at the dirt on the pavement in slight embarrassment, looking back down to the ground for a few seconds before raising her head once again, White’s stretched into a small smile, a genuine one.
“.... Thank you, Leo. Hopefully, it isn’t like that subway incident though.”
