Every time Sherlock says "I must go deeper" in TAB, does that mean he's taking more drugs? *i noticed that while rewatching today*

Hi! Thanks for this question, I’ve been meaning to write something about this…

So, I think “I must go deeper” has at least two readings. The first meaning that Sherlock must “go deeper” into his Mind Palace, his heart, to solve the Moriarty mystery, and more importantly the ‘mystery’ of himself: “Why do you need to be alone?”

The second is “I must go deeper”= Sherlock taking more drugs, and I definitely agree with you. I think Mycroft’s words in Sherlock’s Victorian Mind Palace are very telling:

“You’re in deep, Sherlock. Deeper than you ever intended to be.”

In my opinion, Sherlock is in denial about his own drug addiction, and is eager to explain it away with case-related excuses. “All that matters to me is the work” right, Sherlock?

So, in His Last Vow, it’s all false bravado and bluster: “Please, do relax. This is all for a case.” But, we see Sherlock snap and break his calm mask when he later threatens Mycroft. His disguise and lies are unravelling by the minute…

Similarly, in The Abominable Bride, Sherlock insists that he “went to the trouble of an overdose” to prove that Moriarty is dead, and his Mind Palace journey was just an “experiment” for the case.

But, Mycroft tells us that Sherlock has gone deeper than he ever intended to be. In other words, he is not in control: he is in over his head, overwhelmed.

Moriarty gives us one final reminder: “Way too deep.” I think we will see the consequences of Sherlock lying to himself in Series 4…

The Second Modern Scene was Sherlock’s Worst Fears

He overdoses, Mycroft was right, he’s not in control of his usage

John sees him as an addict

John is only interested in the cases

Even when Sherlock begs

Mary takes John away

Sherlock’s wrong, there’s nothing in the coffin

Mycroft and Lestrade judging him, seeing how useless he is, how wrong

Frantically digging, finding nothing, because he was wrong

There’s nothing to find, he’s alone in the grave

Seriously Darren has every right to enjoy telling his story about going out with Chris for the first time cause that is one of his favorite memories from his career and life so people saying Darren is just doing it for attention can go F--K OFF themselves. This nonsense really needs to stop

‘Glee’ Star Chris Colfer Talks Fear Of Singing

“I don’t sing unless I have to. Or in the shower,” the actor told Vulture. “Honestly, singing is my biggest fear. I never participate in group singing activity.”

While he noted that singing in the studio while taping “Glee” episodes isn’t nearly as nerve-wracking, Colfer admitted the “Glee” live tour, which ran from 2010 to 2011, was difficult.

“I wish I [had conquered my fear of public singing] on the ‘Glee’ live tour … I just force myself to go out there, even when I’m shaking,” he said. (x)

Seth: Have you ever thought about doing a show together? Like a live show together?”

Darren: Well, ya know Chris actually hates, I mean…he hates…I’m sure everyone is You Tubing… Chris hates it when you talk about him, but uh…he hates singing live. He hates it. Hates singing live. Doesn’t like doing it.
