No More Regrets [Rick & Michonne]
Michonne looked into his eyes as he asked her to make that promise. She knew that's what she wanted, to be able to move on and forget about the past. The only tricky part was if she was capable to keep that promise.
But as with many things these days, she had to take a risk, make a leap of faith. She smiled softly and kissed his cheek.
"I promise," she whispered, pulling away. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"
Rick's hand slipped from hers. "Tomorrow." He let out a content sigh and gave her a soft smile. "Goodnight, sweetheart." His lips twitched a little at the slip, but he knew it was only fitting. He watched as she slipped from the cell. He moved and slowly let the sheet drop and started to ready himself for bed. He peeked in on Judith, smirking as he watched her suck her thumb. She reminded him more and more of Lori lately, and his eyes swung toward the heavens. She would want this for him. For Judith. For Carl. She wanted him to be happy, and he'd have no regrets moving forward toward building something with Michonne. She was exactly what he needed in the here. And the now. He crawled into bed and laid down under the blankets and settled into a peaceful night's sleep.
