list ten facts about your muse: 1. she’s been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and takes medication to treat it. 2. being an Abomination, her own body kinda works against her since she’s made of two “opposites” basically, which is why she’s so small, weak, and easily made ill. 3. Disney is what made her fall in love with music. her middle school music teacher taught her how to compose music when she showed an affinity for it. 4. Maia only really lets Isaiah see her rage and rant. 5. Maia had always been the more sickly twin and was in and out of the hospital a lot as a child. 6. she is fluent in English, Spanish, and is currently learning French as per her father’s request. 7. Maia’s a romantic at heart, but an incident in high school has lead her to believe she’s just not desirable. 8. she and Isaiah used to play piano duets in middle school for their parents until Isaiah dropped it out of disinterest. 9. Maia wants to build her own home library one day, a whole room filled with books and music just for her own pleasure. 10. Maia can play guitar, cello, piano, and is currently teaching herself how to play sax. list five things they like: 1. sweets 2. long, flowing skirts ( but she’s also a shortie so this complicates things for her ). 3. shopping 4. the rush she gets after successfully getting through a performance for a crowd that genuinely likes her. 5. teaching small children to love music list five things they dislike: 1. being without her “crutch” which could be a book or her cell phone. 2. people yelling at her or her brother 3. her body 4. public speaking 5. harsh criticism common words / phrases that annoy them?: “break a leg!” ( how about no bc she might actually?? ) and “bae” ( Maia whispers: don’t ) personality types they prefer: more laid-back types that she doesn’t have to scramble after or struggle to wrap her mind around. someone who doesn’t stress her out. personality types they avoid: super, exuberantly loud people. just being around them drains her of energy. what do you find different ( or distinct ) about your portrayal?: not really sure tbh.

ooc; tbh i can’t wait for Maia to grow up, to really mature and grow in mind and body. she may be 21, but she’s so very childish. she’s too caught up in her insecurities and her faults to really allow herself to develop at all. when Maia finally grows up, she’s already endured lots of trauma that she’s learning to cope with, and had a teacher who helped her awaken and control her powers. she has been separated from Isaiah, someone she has a psychic link with, and that has given her independence—she no longer needs to depend on others, emotionally, anymore. when Maia’s grown up, she’s stronger than before, steady in her beliefs and ready to defend herself and those around her. When Isaiah sees her again, after many years being apart, he’s very surprised by the change—he feels conflicted because after their separation, he felt he failed her as his protector. And suddenly, she doesn’t need protecting after all and he doesn’t know what to do with himself, and that’s the point where he starts to really grow up too.
ooc; i was just reminded i need to work on Maia’s blog.
update/revise Maia’s bio page
make powers/abilities page

“HELLHOUNDS, HUH?”:
Well, she couldn’t outright say what they really were. Hellhounds were oft a symbol of death’s approach, and she wasn’t sure just how this one would react to knowing as much. So, she decided to go with the usual answer- “..Doberman Pinchers, actually! They are.. good companions to her, as far as I can tell.”
MAIA SMILED PLEASANTLY, CHOOSING to brush off the woman’s hesitation as nothing to fret about. Doberman Pinschers reminded her of Russian spies and Italian mobsters, but that was something to blame on children’s cartoons.
❝ Are they friendly? I had a friend a long time ago who had two dogs. They were very protective of her and often barked or tried to bite other people, despite them being the sweetest things to her. ❞
Another day in the city that she didn’t like. She hated to be in these areas crowded with people. It was uncomfortable and she didn’t like the feeling it gave her though her thoughts had quickly fixated on the man on the run as she came around the corner. A thud could be heard as they collided though she did not fall unlike he, if anything it made her stumble a few steps the opposite direction of where she was going. As she could hear the cursing underneath his breath she noticed the gun in plain sight knowing full well of the situation given the purse in his possession as well. Without a moments notice, she had taken the firearm and jabbed him right in the pressure point in his neck to render him unconscious. It was after she picked up the bag that she had come to see whom it had belonged to. Someone familiar to her but without a second to waste she made her advancement over to the other. “I believe this belongs to you, does it not? Are you okay?”
AND JUST LIKE THAT, she was given a reprieve for once in her life. Going through the tedious process of replacing her belongings filled her with incredible anxiety, and she was ready to curl up against her apartment door for the night. For once, though, luck decided to give her a gift in the form of a familiar face. The relief that Maia felt nearly sent her to her knees. Tears pricked at her eyes, but she was quickly to wipe them away—it would do no good to give in to her emotions in front of someone she barely knew.
❝ Y-Yes, it—it’s mine. Thank you so much. Really, I really a-appreciate your help. ❞ Maia gave a watery smile. Trembling hands reached out and gingerly took her bag from the woman who had saved her a world of trouble. ❝ I’ve met you before, haven’t I? I’m-I’m sorry, but I can’t... recall your name. ❞
his coming here was not without mission , that much was certain . fair trees tossed spring-bound winds , fragrant with vibrancy , all whilst he walked amid it like an anomaly . people , while not openly skirting about him , gave a wider berth on the narrow sidewalk , tree-lined and shady . however , the desperation of a young woman caught his gaze swiftly , gently maneuvering through the crowd while she tripped once , then catching her before she might fall again . remaining close as a chivalrous man might . ‘ no , i haven’t . but do you need help looking for him ? ‘
her urgency was met with compassion , even if kindness didn’t openly express itself out his countenance . alucard’s hands still supportively remained , in the event that she might keel forwards again . although it was an unusual scenario , a simple act such as this hardly seemed untoward to his character to speak of .
SHE AND ISAIAH MAY have been twins, but they were far from being the same. Maia was docile and unobtrusive—Isaiah was loud and impulsive. Maia flinched away from harsh words and abuse hands, but Isaiah fought back with a burning rage that could rival the sun. But somehow, they balanced the other in a way no parent or friend or acquaintance could. This often lead to Maia chasing after her brother, seeking him out to bandage his wounds and smooth away his anger. It was a daunting task for the poor girl, but she could never complain.
A part of her almost wanted to decline this man’s assistance—she was Isaiah’s twin, his precious person. He was hers to worry about. But, she knew better than that. The way the tall stranger kept his hand still, continuing to support her as her knees shook, told her that she could trust him to be good help. ❝ Y-Yes, actually, I would if it’s not too much trouble for you, sir. Thank you. ❞
