This coming from the same guy who did at least 2 tweets about how Sevens and Go Rush (and Rush Duel) killed Yugioh (one tweet got deleted due to backlash), who said that Sevens was unbearable/he couldn't stomach it (and never even tried Go Rush but still acted like it's terrible by default) and that Rush era anime has no fans since "he never saw a Sevens/Go Rush fan posting anything unlike Gallop era ygo fans".

Maybe this is supposed to be "character development" for him but I honestly don't trust him that he's truly believing what he says there.

This Eurovision grand final was even more unpredictable than last year. Like again: Why were the juries loving Bulgaria so much? Bulgaria would've won by a landslide even without the juries' points so I wished other countries had gotten something instead. Btw, I don't hate Bangaranga but it wasn't in my personal top 10 and the victory kinda came out of nowhere imo.

All the countries expected to win Eurovision this year ended up not doing that. Like Australia was the closest but Finland and Greece didn't live up to the hype they had. (Now I feel even less bad about not liking them much in the first place)

Sweden getting their worst result in probably decades while all other Nordics doing much better is kinda hilarious. But maybe they will try something different like KAJ again next year because I'm not ready for them sending another male artist singing english pop or freaking Loreen for the third time.

Romania was my favorite this year and I'm so glad to see them in the top 3. Absolutely deserved. Albania deserved to be in the top 10 but at least Alis still ended on the left side of the board. Can't be said for Czechia like poor Daniel. With those vocals, he deserved better.

So sad for the United Kingdom. The one time they send a song I enjoy and isn't a generic pop song, it gets another 0 telepoints. Well at least Germany does the same and surprisingly Belgium too (guess people are still mad about them qualifying instead of Montenegro) but LMNC/Sam deserved better. :(

Curious how Bulgaria will be as a host country. And now that Bangaranga won, I expect even more party songs next year.

Idk why I got this one person's reaction video about all Eurovision winners we have so far but gdi, their opinions are so weird? Not them saying the contest should be about the singing and then proceeds to shit on Portugal? Like call Amar Pelos Dois boring as much as you want but you can't claim that Salvador sang badly. Also saying about JJ that he "at least tries to sing" (likely a jab at Nemo which is dumb considering Nemo sang well) while looking like Wasted Love is overall still a meh song??? He had one of the best vocals last year. You don't have to like opera but criticizing his singing quality is hilarious for someone acting like good singing is the most important thing to win.

Pretty sure they said they stopped watching when Conchita won (again: if you claim that good singing is the most important thing but stop watching just because a drag queen with a beard won despite singing well...) which makes their opinion about modern Eurovision even weirder. Like you just see the winners, wtf are you acting like they represent the decline of quality in the contest? I can dislike a winner and still think the majority of songs were good.

I have to point out their reactions to Ukraine specifically because why is Wild Dances a good song but "the singing quality decreased" (I don't think Ruslana sang badly), 1944 gets the side eye and Stefania is straight up disgusted "how can this win"? I won't act like the war situation didn't play a role in Ukraine getting points in 2022 but acting like Stefania is a garbage song that would've ended at the bottom without the war is just insulting.

Idk, this person just gave me big "everything was better in the olden days" vibes despite looking like belonging in gen z. And sure, you can have preferences but there's that and there's having double standards.

About semi final 2 of Eurovision 2026

I'll be honest: I knew that Luxembourg, Latvia but especially Azerbaijan would fail to qualify since Eurovision fans have a hate boner for ballads. Czechia qualifying is a miracle but a deserved Q since Daniel has great vocals. Same for Albania. I think the subtitles but also the dramatic choir kinda helped along with Alis' good vocals.

Denmark, Romania, Australia and Ukraine... Like those were no-brainers even tho Leléka's high note was kinda ehh. But well, Ukraine has never failed to qualify so... I think Delta can sing well but her song really sounds like something I've heard on Eurovision around the 2010's. Like why is this specific song getting hype when others that sound similar are called outdated?

Bulgaria and Cyprus are two cases of "vocally meh live but I guess dance songs with pretty ladies work so no wonder they still qualified". I could've let Bulgaria slide but Cyprus?? No offense but did Antigoni forget her lyrics at some point? Her vocals were also very weak and I get it's tough singing while also dancing but if you can't do that then don't do a dance number.

Switzerland is the biggest robbery in this semifinal. I really thought that Malta's not gonna make it but guess I was wrong. Not that I hate "Bella" but it's kinda whatever to me.

I don't think Norway is as terrible as some make it. Honestly like the rockish vibe.

Hot take: Armenia is cooler than Greece (they have similar vibes) despite having a hard time understanding what was sung. But I felt less cringe watching Paloma Rumba than Ferto.

As expected, the top favorites (Finland, Sweden, Greece, Israel) qualified.

Happy for Moldova, Croatia and Serbia.

Very sad for Portugal. I was hoping for a miracle but after Belgium and Lithuania qualified (the former was kinda meh, the latter didn't convince me live), I knew that Portugal had no chance anymore and the last spot would go to Poland.

Ngl, while I enjoy upbeat songs, it sucks how calmer songs barely have a chance anymore even with the juries back in the semifinals.

We still have semifinal 2 but I already say that the grand finale will be very loud for sure. Many will like that but I really wished we had a better mix of dramatic/upbeat songs and calm songs.

Maybe I have to listen to it more than once but I really don't get the hype for Finland. Like why is this most people's winner?

I like that the song is in Finnish and the violin's nice - but other than that? Tbh, I didn't watch the MV for the song but staging usually doesn't have much impact on how good a song is to me.

Finland should've absolutely won in 2023 but this year? Idk. You can call France a copycat of Austria 2025 but I'm vibing more with the opera song. Even Denmark is convincing me more and it isn't really one of my faves this year either.

But I guess, Finland winning again after 20 years would be great for them.

The amount of people (and I assume it's just guys) saying either that they don't want a female protag, that a female protag would be woke (lmao) or my favorite: A female protagonist can't/shouldn't happen because yugioh is a shonen anime aka a guys thing and not a shojo aka a girls thing. Yeah I guess I imagined all those shonen anime and manga with female protagonists...

Like nobody can bring up an actual good reason of why not introducing a female ygo protagonist. JBA had a female protag with Jolyne for Part 6 after years of male protagonists. So if JBA, a "classic shonen" can do that, why not yugioh too?

Can I have one, ONE thread, post or video about the Arc-V manga that doesn't focus mainly on "the twist"? Like holymoly, nobody has to like the ending but 99 % of the people not liking it act like it's the most disgusting thing they've ever seen as if other stories haven't done the same shit before.

Seriously, I hate how the manga ending is the reason why I can hardly enjoy discussions about Arc-V in general anymore because it always ends in "mama Yuzu" jokes or "anime ending bad but manga is worse" bs.

The manga isn't perfect but it still has some good parts in it that are hardly talked about because everyone is on that freaking ending - and I'm sure that most never even cared about reading the manga but act all offended about the ending because "everyone does it".

And I don't feel bad about liking the manga ending better than the anime one. At least that ending has no villain getting no punishment at all but is even treated with a happy ending while 6 beloved characters got basically k*lled off for nothing.

Ngl, I have heavy doubts that he actually watched the Rush shows considering he still thinks that Rush Duel doesn't need strategy and can't point out anything story relevant for neither Sevens nor Go Rush. Also basically calling Romin a girl who just exists next to the guys tells you already that he is just a generic Rush hater. But dude has no shame calling Judai/Asuka an "absolute cinema" ship and their (non-existent) romance beautiful. Like no front at people who like fianceshipping but Judai and Asuka get way less romantic tension than Yusei/Aki or Yuya/Yuzu so how is this anywhere near "peak shipping"??

Also using dub names heavily implies that he's a dub only watcher and this is just another hint at him never having watched Go Rush completely but still feels like he can talk about it.

Edit: According to the uploader, he was just "doing comedy" and is actually fine with the Rush shows. Which I have a hard time believing. Calling Sevens/Go Rush trash as a joke when way too many people really think of them like that... Come on. Same for his Zexal trashing but at least Zexal is getting a better reputation slowly.

Me scrolling through youtube just to get a video suggested about "the rise and fall of pokemon anime" and it's just almost 20 minutes of XYZ glazing while shittalking SuMo, Journeys and Horizons. Maybe I shouldn't have expected anything good in the first place considering the "fall" part is already implied with SuMo in the thumbnail. And honestly, SuMo hate in 2025? Lame.

Even just reading the comment section makes it clear that this person really loves XYZ and hypes it up so much while always pointing out how bad Ash became with SuMo, he got "reseted", "turned into a 7yo child" etc. And when asked why BW wasn't really a topic (considering how hated that anime season was for how Ash acted despite gen 5 being pretty popular now game-wise) or mentioning weak points of XYZ, the reason is "the video would've become too long"? Like who cares? Make one well done video that actually cares to properly go through the good and bad instead of "Let's kinda ignore the first half, highlight my favorite seasons and call everything after them trash". (exaggerated on purpose here)

Maybe it's just me but a lot of diehard XYZ fans give me the impression that they want pokemon to be a classic shonen series than a kodomo show aka more action, more seriousness, more "aura" moments of Ash so grown ass dudes can see in him some power fantasy and not just a kid who likes pokemon and dreams to become a pokemon master.

But ngl: Pokemon anime fandom is almost as annoying as the ygo anime fandom. You have your genwunners/yugiboomers and the way XYZ was hyped while SuMo was looked down on reminds me of how the ygo fandom was when Zexal happened after 5D's. Suddenly, ygo wasn't cool anymore, younger characters suck (because oh no, no more male power fantasies and waifus), where is the "maturity" etc. Heck, Sevens might now be closer to what SuMo experienced since it also changed its art style and was more comedy slice of life which is apparently really bad for lots of "adult" ygo fans aka the hatred for it was even worse than with Zexal.

And speaking of adult fans: My general observation seems to be that they really don't seem to like movies/series focused on kids because kids are immediately equaled with being cringe, lame, boring, uninteresting - unless the kids look cool and act more like adults than actual kids. Shows people watched as a kid and were aimed at kids that are still ongoing suddenly are expected to "grow with them" aka target adults as the audience. Like why not let the kodomo anime still be a kodomo anime? Why does everything have to revolve around *your* older age group?

But that's just my two cents.
