Your Carnival for the devil AU is sick, and the art you’ve made for it is also super super cool! Might I request that you maybe tell me all the lore >:))
I'd love to but there's so much to ill try and set it into little chunks for each character
Warning for this, there's like gore?ish? Violent stuff basically.
So kinger- he's actually the main guy that most people of the "carnival" meet, because he waits for people to arrive to give them the "welcome." Along side with jax of course, but we'll get to that later. He's actually blind because Caine figured out that kinger was purposely trying to forget everything he did, and only in the dark he remembers things. So he took his eyes out as a reminder of what he's done. He's also only called "grant" by Caine, because Caine won't let him forget who he is and what he's done. Also in this au, kinger actually ended up murdering queenie. he thought he was saving her, and by doing that he'd actually be releasing her to the real world. And now can never forget her face of terror.
Jax- so Jax really I like to call him the mad hare, he is (or what he thinks he is) caines favorite. He greets people, gets them to trust him and tell him all of their secrets, their opinions on the circus and then when an individual decides to try and leave? He runs to tell caine. That's why Caine honestly gives him the "keys" for everything. Just so he can gather all the information and run with it. He's honestly the reason that everyone is infected or hurt and changed by Caine in anyway. (Later on Jax runs to tell Caine that pomni wants to leave, and so caine staples her eyes open and makes her carry around a chain as a "you are stuck here, face reality")
Zooble - so they are the second to last person to have joined right. The moment they joined, they hated their avatar, and they would always complain to Jax about it. Zooble would finally snap and get upset with Jax about something (haven't thought that far ahead) and Jax would run to tell Caine about how zooble hates everything about themselves, and that they see themselves as a monster. So in return, he made zooble a flesh, animal stitched together hybrid. Constantly dripping blood, mixed with all of these other things that the carnival members can't even describe. Now they don't say much in the circus, not even to gangle.
gangle!- so she's joined the circus shortly after Jax, and she was already horrified right off the bat and her design is much like the original but her mask is only one mask. it has a really poorly drawn on smile and eyes, like with sharpies almost. She's really close with zooble before they got mutated, but after , gangle couldn't even look at them. She felt awful but , she honestly couldn't stomach it. Fun fact- Caine would torment her by taking other members of the carnival and like ripping them up or something right in front of her and because she only could smile (the poorly drawn sharpie) he would call her a monster and laugh at her, saying things like "I bet you wish you could be the one tormenting them".
Ragatha!!- oh god. So ragatha comes from the original family but in the real world she actually was already..dead? So her avatar is now this doll with a rotting corpse inside of it. She's still extremely sweet though, to the point she would literally give people her limbs. Like yes her limbs comes off, and she can take her organs out to give them to someone. Once Jax threatened to tell Caine about how she was talking bad about him if she didn't give him her organ and so she gave it to him. She does infact still feel the pain though, but she really doesn't want to have others around her suffer if she can take it. Her whole design is "the rotten truth underneath" because honestly she's not as sweet as everyone presumes, at least not in the real world.
Pomni!! The newest most determined to get out member!- that is extremely short lived. Pomni can't even remember putting the headset on, but she remembers going out to adventure somewhere and then waking up here. Her design is a tiny (smaller than her form in the circus, but not comically small, just shorter) jester who is just lost and afraid. Mind you the carnival is dark and eerie, no bright lights nothing like that aside from random shining lights when Caine wants to point something out. But Jax was the first person who was there to care for her. "Care for". Pomni told Jax all about how she found an exit and how she's confident she can get them out. Well, Jax ran and told Caine, caine staples her eyes open and attached a huge chain to her neck that drags and makes a lot of sound. She genuinely thought Jax and her were friends and he humbly pulled the "we were never friends."
LAST BUT NOT LEAST CAINE!!
Uh so like, genuinely I cannot begin to describe him, aside from bitter, evil and no remorse. He doesn't actually have favorites, and he only uses Jax for his benefits because he finds it such a odd human emotion. He watches as Jax runs around and does everything when he already knows what's happening. That's his own personal hell for jax. Also caines avatar is not like his regular one. He's actually just a huge pair of jaws and eyes that float out to look around. And by huge pair of jaws I mean like building sized, that sits in the middle of the carnival. And his office is actually like a heart. It beats and moves like one but no one can figure out how to get there. All around the Carnival as well, he can spawn his hands to come out of anywhere, the ceiling, the ground, mid air? If he feels you are doing something off, he'll get to you in some way.
Of course Caine still sends them on adventures , all together and most of the adventures ends with jax being the survivor, but Caine takes joy in their own "personal" adventures. For example ragathas own personal adventure was to get out of her mom's house before she finds her.

Honestly short end of the stick is think of this au like.. a much more I have no mouth and I must scream concept. There's really a lot more to this au but the post is already CRAZZZY long so I'll save it for another day lolol
I'm actually really happy people find interest in this au, I love drawing it and can't wait to show off ragatha, zooble and gangle. And hopefully a clear version of Caine in my au.
