Lucifer starts to gnaw at his cheek, making little growls and gremlin noises as he does. At this point, the king had his arms around his shoulders from behind as he piggy backed on him. He laid his head on his shoulder looking up with bright eyes. "Well, I thought since you're sleeping at your post that I'd give you a nice dose of PEP in your step! Boy, it must be slow as molasses today if you're sleeping on the job." Lucifer is a bit surprised since Alastor is always keeping himself busy doing something. "Did you have a long night?"

"Driver's test? Who even needs such a silly thing? Why, I've never taken one and I drive just fine!"

He, in fact, does not drive just fine.

"I'm pretty sure I made extra traffic laws just for you alone. Don't think I didn't notice the trail of bodies after the last time you drove through downtown."

"Maybe I should switch out your car for a horse instead, at least that way you'll be safer on the roads. What do you think? I'll even throw in your very own cowboy hat and chaps~"

"Absolutely not. I am completely safe on the road. I've never been in an accident!"

He didn't count people that hit him as accidents. And everyone hit him, it was never him who hit someone. To be fair he some how miraculously had never gotten injured in any sort of driving incident.

Lucifer paused then adds, "Well if you won't take the horse will you still wear the chaps and hat?" He asked hopefully. "Y'know, for reasons...." He looks around shifty, rubbing the back of his neck. Alastor wouldn't look bad in a cowboy outfit.

"Keep your voice down! She isn't supposed to know that!" Alastor lowered his own voice, and trying to shush the King of Hell's own. "I may have....not timed that properly when it hit that Sinner. He shouldn't have been standing there anyways. I couldn't get the rug out and got frustrated and threw the whole thing away."

Lucifer blinks a few times, a bit dumbfounded but shouldn't be surprised. Alastor does have Niffty doing all the work in cleaning, maybe this is why? "You know, for a serial killer, I would think you'd have a bit of a knack for cleaning. Did you just murder people and leave a mess behind? How did you not get caught all those years?"

He's really gonna have to keep an eye on this guy now. "Look, can you at least take that kind of stuff away from the hotel? Killing sinners right in front of the hotel to SAVE them probably doesn't look good. Normally I'd let your sinners get wild how you like, but you can't do that on my little girl's project."

"Now you wait just a minute!" Alastor snapped, how dare he assume anything about his methods of killing! "I'm offended that you would think that just because I don't clean as often, does not mean that it carried over into my work." He paused, more for dramatics than anything, but Lucifer could probably tell that it did strike a bit of a nerve. "I had my workstation, away from my place of living, of course. Blood eventually stains the more you meddle with it, even though I did clean it as best I could, so to be fair, my space probably looked worse than it did. But it was spotless, I can guarentee that."

So there, Lucifer. He could clean if he wanted to! He just....couldn't be bothered right this moment. However, he was right, he couldn't always take it within the Hotel, as they were trying to focus on redemption. He supposed he could be a little more couth.

"I suppose I can," he answered, much to his indignation. "As long as I'm able to do so during the Hotel's defense."

Well that seemed to hit a nerve, but no surprise, Alastor takes pride in his work. However, how could he not think that by seeing the way he handles clean up? Or...lack there of. At least he's able to leave that kind of work outside his daughter's hotel. "Fiiiiiiine, only during defense. I don't want to see anymore eyeballs, blood stains, bones, or any signs of murder in this hotel." He took his claw and gave his nose a tiny poke. "If you can do that, i'll leave you be. Alsoooo," He sniffs his bow tie. "....If you can uh..smell less like you just came out of Woodstock, that would be great too."

Lucifer goes on full alert, he recognized that voice. "I like to uh think so." He's sweating now, eyes daring around wonder where she is. Maybe if he plays dead she'll leave him alone. "Can't get much badder than the devil." He Wheezes nervously.

Do you have a special royal tailor for your clothes? Or did you make them yourself?

"Ah clearly a gray face with good taste! As easy as it would be to make my own clothes, I like to do some things the old fashion way. I have my own tailor!" He spins around showing off his circus looking attire. "Buuuut it's been awhile since I went to them...err...7 years to be exact. I think it's time for me to change up my style to something different."

How would you feel if one of your siblings apologized? Or came and visited you in person?

"Believe it or not, I understand why none of them helped Lilith or myself. Either too afraid or programmed by daddies little minions. I'm not sure the elders---which consist of my brothers and sisters--can realize that all of them were brainwashed from the beginning. We were made as tools to create and guide souls to their resting place. To be soldiers, not the fluffy kind angels humans think of.

Unfortunately with that, I don't ever see them waking up under that influence. There's only a few I know that disagree with how things are run, but if they were to come down to me and apologize, I would welcome them.

That being said, I'm not idiot either. I would still be weary and keep an eye on them. They'll have to EARN my trust again. That will not be an easy feat.

Maybe if he whispers it quietly enough no one will notice and he can leave right back the way he came like nothing happened.

If Aias were to look at the workbench in the room, there's nothing but a pile of blueprints stacked up high on one side and another pile of actual paper work stacked up on the other side, In the middle, Lucifer is wearing a huge magnifying glass over one eye as he tinkers with what looks to be some kind of music box. At the moment he's trying to place the demon ballerina on the peddle stool. Fresh specks of paint is visible on his cheeks and all over his work bench and smock.

When he hears the voice he doesn't look up but he invites him in. "Hey! Just the person I wanted to see! Can you do me a HUGE favor?" It's only then he peeks up at Aias with a huge grin. "Why don't you turn this little crank for me on the side of this box. I'm just about done with this and I think you're the right guy to start it off." He finally got the ballerina to stand in place. "Go ahead and try it out!"

"They may be surprised but they'll adapt," Alastor said, waving a hand dismissively to the idea that Lucifer going to the meeting would cause an uproar.

And then he mentioned Vox.

This was not a topic he really wanted to discuss. Ever. But Lucifer had talked about Lilith with him on their first date so he felt it was only fair to tell him something in return.

Not that Vox was an ex but still. It wasn't as if he had many 'ex' stories to tell and he knew the Vox situation was something people were curious about.

Alastor shifted, laying in bed on his side, facing towards Lucifer, his elbow and hand propping up the side of his head.

"We were friends a long time ago. Good friends in fact— buddies, chums, pals. And then he decided he had feelings for me. Which is understandable, isn't it? I am rather charming and attractive."

Alastor paused in his story flashing a charming smile at him, his eyes half lidded.

It's suspected there was something going on between Vox and Alastor. More than just a feud. That TV guy has a real boner for the Radio Demon. Borderline obsessed with him. The more Alastor spoke about it the more it made sense.

It was as if Vox didn’t just want to rival Alastor; he wanted to dethrone him. The flicker of jealousy mixed with admiration danced in Vox's eyes whenever he talks about Alastor. Rumors circulated in the shadows of the entertainment scene, whispered behind closed doors about Vox's elaborate schemes to upstage the Radio Demon.

Some say he’s even gone so far as to gather intel, studying every broadcast and slip-up Alastor makes, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Others believe Vox's fascination is a twisted form of infatuation, driven by a desire to be more than just a rival, yearning instead for a partnership cloaked in competition. The relationship was intricately woven, both antagonistic and oddly magnetic, leaving everyone wondering just how far this obsession would go.

Alastor confirmed the suspicions. Though it seems only one sided from what Lucifer gathered. Reaching out he squished his cheeks. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, a real heart throb! So, you decided to up and leave when things got weird I take it?”

Is that why he left for all those years? Was it because of Vox or something eles?

"Oh no. I wouldn't leave over something like that," Alastor dismissed the idea with an effeminate hand wave.

Alastor's seven year disappearance had nothing to do with Vox and everything to do with Lilith. But they were not discussing that and it was not something the Radio Demon was going to volunteer.

"I rejected him in what I felt like was a rather kind way but he did not handle it well. He was angry, obsessive and began stalking me. And he wasn't even any good at it, he was so obvious! There's a reason why I don't appear well on video," Alastor pointed out.

He was fairly certain Vox still followed him on video feeds even without a clear image but he was sure it was annoying to the other Overlord.

"I pulled further and further away but it only made his intensity worse. Eventually he decided to mess with my Overlord business and well, let's just say that got my attention."

"We fought and I gave him the beating he deserved. I didn't kill him though. He still has uses. For now. And really, annoying him is quite entertaining," Alastor admitted with a mischievous smile.

"This is all highly confidential information, you know," he told Lucifer, wanting to make it clear that he expected him not to go around talking about it.

"Wowzers! I didn't know all of that." Lucifer knew they were enemies but didn't exactly know how it came to be. Knowing Vox is clearly obsessed ignites a fire in his gut. "Well~" He reached out with both hands and continues to rub at Alastor's cheeks bringing his head over so he can pepper them with kisses. A small growl leaves his lips. "You're mine. I'll break that flat face of his if he even TRIES to get you~" Not that Alastor can't fend for himself but as his boyfriend, he'll go savage on anyone trying to take him. Call him possessive.

After a moment of playing with his face he finally let go to snuggle in close to him. His huge eyes look up to him, as that little tail casually flops back and forth. "You know, we should go back to your apartment sometime. Not that I don't like it at the hotel but, it could be our little place away from the other people here for awhile." Lucifer has his palace but he doesn't go there that much since Charlie stays at the hotel and he would rather be closer to her.

As soon as he mentioned that she was his 'special girl' Charlie knew her dad was preparing to break some news to her that he thought she wouldn't like. She kept her smile in place though, trying to appear encouraging.

He was right that it would be best for them to be open and honest with each other.

"Oh!" Charlie said, her eyes widening, surprised by that announcement. She hadn't expected that.

She'd always hoped that her dad and mom would get back together even if their divorce had been pretty final. She knew it was a long shot so she wasn't holding her breath over it. But most kids wanted their divorced parents to get back together, right?

He did deserve happiness though even if it wasn't with her mom so she tried to be open to the idea.

Charlie picked up a pen off her desk nervously fidgeting with it in her hands as she looked at him.

"That's... interesting. H-Have you met anyone special?" she asked.

He can see the moment that the gravity of the situation fully sank in for Charlie. At least she’s not bursting into tears or tearing down the walls. Lucifer is very  aware that his daughter holds family in the highest regard; valuing those times they were together. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Following Lilith, he had resigned to embrace a life of solitude indefinitely.

Now, somehow, Alastor has infiltrated his life, creating an authentic relationship with him, and Lucifer finds himself navigating uncharted waters. Having been wed for a millennia, followed by decades of bachelor life, he had never envisioned himself getting his romance on with anyone else.

The paper clip he has between his fingers becomes bent and useless. He puts it aside, and decides to fold his hands together instead to stop himself from fidgeting. “They’re pretty special. In fact uh…they’ve helped me quite a bit these past few weeks. HE is quite a guy.” It’s like he’s slowly peeling off a band aid when he should just tear it off. “Okay,” He lays his palms flat on the desk, gathering his courage. “The thing is, Charlie…” Lucifer clears his throat, “…I’m dating ..I’m…I’m dating the strawberry pimp!”

Charlie stared at him with cartoonishly large wide eyes, trying to process what he was saying.

The strawberry pimp? She only knew one person that had ever been called that, at least in front of her, but it couldn't be— could it?

"A-Alastor?"

As far as she knew her dad and Alastor just barely got along and that was only a recent development. When they first met, she was afraid a fight was going to break out until Alastor's friend showed up as a distraction.

But they had been spending a lot of time together lately with her dad's missions to the other Rings. She had been surprised when he had chosen Al of all people to go with him but his reasoning to her at the time had been sound— Alastor could very well hold his own against other demons, even in other Rings.

Maybe there was some other demon out there called the strawberry pimp that she didn't know about.

Lucifer could feel his mouth become dry and his throat tighten. It didn't take long for Charlie to put two and two together. After all this time fighting with Alastor, almost killing each other at a certain point, almost a year later he's breaking the news to his daughter that they're now dating. If anyone had told him a year ago he would be dating Alastor of all people, he would have sent them to the gallows.

Charlie seems to be still in shock about it, so he allows it to sink in for a few more moments before continuing. Clearing his throat he wheezed HARD instead of speaking words. That nervous habit just won't go away.

"Y-Yes sweetie, daddy is dating Alastor. The Radio Demon." He adds really fast. "Now, I know what you're thinking and no, I'm not under some spell or drunk, or high. It just started off with some playful banter and then well, he's pretty funny and then...we just..I dunno, clicked? Before I knew it, we were on the lobby couch making out!"

"Very true! I wouldn't let anything harm my BEST assistant!" Lucifer wagged his brows. "Alright, we can go skinny dipping. Envy has a beautiful beach aaaaaand nude beaches at that! The best the rings have ever seen in fact! I haven't been there for ages though. I guess it's time to take a trip and get reacquainted." Envy was known for the richer side of hellborn, but they had beautiful beaches and upscale dining.

"The waves are calling us," he continued, a gleam of mischief in his eyes. "Just imagine it, crystal-clear water, the salty breeze, and the freedom of being ourselves without a care. And let's not forget about the little beach shacks serving the most delicious cocktails. Trust me, I know where to find the best mixologists down there."

Lucifer leaned back, a dreamy expression crossing his face. "We could throw a party,  It’ll be a perfect escape from our usual chaos." He chuckled at the thought of their personalities clashing amidst the serene backdrop. "What do you say? An impromptu getaway to spark a little fun and mischief in our lives?"
