NOTES: Rachel comes home early from work to enjoy the afternoon with Finn.
With it being summer, schedules were all over the place. Everyone had to be at different places at different times. It was honestly a bit hectic. Now that the kids were older, it seemed like her life was slowing down and the kid’s life was picking up. Tonight, however, Adeline was having a sleepover, and Jaxson was at her parent's house. Since it was just Rachel and Finn tonight, she thought maybe they could do something, it was one of the perks of being the boss. Walking into their house around 3:00, she called out Finn’s name. “Honey, I’m home!”
Finn had his feet perched up on the coffee table as he drunk down his beer slowly, he glanced at his phone and replied back to the text quickly before sitting it aside. He sighed heavily, the kids were away, and he had the house all to himself it was the perfect time to relax. He turned the television on and flipped through the channels landing on the ESPN channel. Leaning back against the chair set the remote down beside himself before he drunk down a little more beer. Hearing his wife entered the house he hissed a bit, looking at his wrist watch for the time. “I’m in here” he called back out happily despite.
Following the sound of Finn’s voice, she headed into the living room and sat on the end of the couch. “How was your day?” she asked as she took off her blazer and settled onto the couch. “I was thinking, since we are kid free tonight, maybe we can go out and do something? Or even stay in, order takeout and have a long night to ourselves,” she said with a knowing smirk. Rachel took out her ponytail as she fluffed out her hair and kicked off her shoes.
Finn looked at his wife smiling widely at her “there’s my wife” he said happily. As she made herself comfortable, he drunk from the bottle once more before sitting it down against the table. “It was uneventful” he lied “how was your day?” he asked her in return. “Hm,” he said thinking to himself, and he rested his large hand against her thigh rubbing it sweetly “a night in sound very inviting,” he told her playfully.
The brunette laughed as she leaned her head back on the couch. “My day was fine. I’m just working on about two cases at the moment. Nothing too major but it’s keeping most of my focus at work. I was just done for today. I was ready to come home and relax.” Thinking about it for a moment, Rachel nodded her head. “Well, then that’s what we’ll do. It will be an early Father’s day present.” the brunette said with a grin. “We can order takeout, I’ll have a couple glasses of wine, and we’ll stay in.”
“Sounds pretty uneventful as well” he joked with a small laugh as he continued to rub his hand up and down her thigh. “I don’t mind an early gift,” he told her as he watched her as she leaned back against the couch. Finn licked his lips “what are we going to order out?” he asked her attentively.
Rachel got off the couch to grab a bottle of wine from the cooler and a glass. “Well what are you in the mood for?” she asked curiously before grabbing one of his shirts from the dryer. “I can really go for anything, so it’s your choice.” She said as she slipped off her shirt and pants to put on Finn’s shirt. “Do you need another beer?” She called out as she went into the kitchen to get a wine glass.
Finn thought to himself for a moment, pondering what he wanted for dinner tonight. “What about Italian?” he asked her not being in the mood for much else. He had steak earlier and was still a little full from lunch. “Yes please,” he said back to his wife as he leaned back against the couch once more and looked towards the tv.
Grabbing the beer and wine off the counter, Rachel made her way back into the living room. “Sounds good to me. I’ll never say no to pasta,” she added as she handed him his beer. “We don’t have to order yet unless you’re hungry.” Curling back up on the couch, she grabbed her glass and took a long sip of the wine. “You know, the firm is doing really well this year.”
“Italian it is!” Finn said cheerfully to her as she made her way back over to him and he took her in, in all her glory wearing his shirt and carrying his beer over. He wiggled his brows at her “thanks” he told her as she sat back down beside him. “That’s good,” he told her nodding his head, “do you ever really have a bad year?” he asked her amusingly.
“You’re welcome! Anything for you.” She said as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. “Well no, I’ve never had a bad year but this year was really, really good. Like really really well,” she said with emphasis. “Like a lot better than every other year, by like a lot.” Rachel said as she glanced over at him.
Finn chuckled at his wife and nodded his head again, tossing a little beer back finishing the bottle off. “Well that’s really really good” he mimicked “considering, that means we are great financially,” he told her as he grabbed his bottle opener and opened his next beer. “With all that hard work you deserve a vacation,” he said moving to drape his arm around the back of her pulling her closer.
As Finn started to understand what Rachel was saying, she nodded. “I thought we could go on vacation. Somewhere we have never been before but that we’ve always wanted to go.” she offered as she took another sip from her glass, laying her head on his shoulder. “The world is our oyster.”
“Wherever you want to go we will go, no questions asked,” Finn told his wife thoughtfully. “I like to think I found the prettiest pearl myself,” he said as he pecked her forehead tenderly. “So where were you thinking of going?” he asked her.
“You know you don’t have to be so sweet all the time, right? People are going to think I have you brainwashed or something.” Rachel teased. “At this rate, you might be getting a few Father’s Day presents.” the brunette said with a playful wink. “Well, I thought maybe we could plan an extended trip to Europe? I’ve been to a few places but nothing to write home about. Or rent a house for a few weeks in California or somewhere different and just do our thing.”
“Of course I do,” Finn told her chuckling lightly at his wife, “I am far brainwashed,” he said stroking her cheek. “Oh I like the sound of that,” he said kissing her lips sweetly. “Europe” she mused as he thought about all the scenery, the people, the food. “That sounds beautiful,” he told her sitting back smoothly. “I like the Europe idea very much my love,” he said with a wink of his own. “You book the flights, and I’ll be there” he smiled.
“Sometimes I don’t know how I got so lucky. You are just the most amazing human being on the planet!” Rachel stressed as she looked up at him. “I thought you would. Nothing says Father's Day like making you a father for the third time.” She added as she kissed him back softly. “We would have a blast. We can just travel and look at everything and anything. Try a ton of food and enjoy a whole new world. I will get right on that! I want to see the world with you.”
Finn blushed lightly at his wife’s words, and he drunk some of his beer down at her next set of words. “Is that so?” he asked her lightly, as he rubbed her arm lightly. “I can’t wait actually,” he told her “should be extremely interesting” he added before a thought hit him “where will the kids be?” he asked her curiously.
Biting her lip, Rachel nodded, “Yes! It is very much so!” she added. “We will have fun. We’ll plan it around when they have to go see that man I call my ex. It’s summer break, which unfortunately means he gets extra time with them. I love the school year because he basically has to come here to see them regularly.” she said dramatically as she took another sip of her wine. “Although, the kids will probably be jealous. Especially Addie.”
Finn nodded his head slowly to his wife even though the idea was appealing to him at all in the current time of their lives. He licked his lips and sat his beer down against the table, and he turned to her. “That is very true,” he said to her, “and that would be perfect timing in my opinion” he added as he looked to her. “It will be fine, you’ll see,” he said patting her leg.
Rachel had been trying at different times to get pregnant. It was something she had wanted a lot and had not given up on. She did find it strange that Finn talked about it so much in the past but that enthusiasm seemed to die down awhile ago. She had always chalked it up to Finn not wanting to put that pressure on her after not getting pregnant after so many years. “I think so too. The adventures of Finn and Rachel 2.0.” The brunette said with a small laugh. “Then it’s a date!”
“2.0?” Finn asked amused “don’t you mean the elderly Finn and Rachel?” he asked her jokingly. After retiring Finn felt less like himself, he was still a star to most people, but to himself, he was just like everyone else. He had no one to make proud or to be proud of him… except for his kids, and Rachel. But most days even that wasn’t enough, he missed ball even though there was nothing he could do to change that emotion. “Date it is, I can hardly wait to just relax. No priorities, and nothing to keep us busy but ourselves” he told her resting back against the couch.
Shaking her head, she looked up at Finn. “We are not old! I haven’t even hit 40 yet! Thank you very much! I have big plans before that happens.” She put her wine glass on the coffee table and put her head on his shoulder. “We will have a wonderful time and just enjoy it. We worked hard this year to be able to enjoy this. We should get to enjoy the perks of the company being successful. And getting alone time with you is something I will never get sick off.” Rachel added.
“I know, I know,” he said with a smile “I can fill old for the both us and be just fine with that” Finn countered as his phone chimed and he ignored it knowingly. “It would have been pretty awesome to have some friends tag along… if we really had any” he said slowly.
“You’re not old either!” she insisted as she kissed his cheek. “We have friends! If you want to invite someone else, just let me know. We can invite Lauren. I’m sure she has some mystery man she would love to bring.” Rachel said with a slight chuckle.
Finn chuckled at Rachel’s exclamation, he and he mused at her next lines of words. “We do, I hadn’t noticed,” he said sarcastically to her. “Lauren is about the only friend you have,” he told her driving down some more of his beer, he licked his lips and sat it back down before he looked to her. “You should ask her and see what she says…” he trailed off.
“Lauren is just my closet friend down here. I still talk to a few girls from the team and at the firm. I just don’t want to get al involved in people I can’t trust. I learned my lesson on that one already.” she pointed out. “I’ll ask her. She would probably like going.” Rachel added as she picked up her wine glass and took a long sip from it. “I think we’re going to have an enjoyable time.”
Finn looked to his wife unsure of how she managed to keep a friend in Lauren this entire time. How did she not smell the trouble the woman was, was amazing to him. However, that portion of their lives was none of his business. “I understand that way of thinking, no need to bring drama into our lives when it’s been pretty peaceful as of late” he added. Though parts of Finn knew the entire fiasco with the Evan’s were 50/50 from beginning to very end. “Yeah…” he said keeping his conversation about Lauren at the bare minimum.
Biting her lip, Rachel looked over at Finn, “You’re correct about that. I don’t miss that drama at all. Or the strain it put on you and me.” Rachel liked the steadiness of their lives. She didn’t think their lives were boring or mundane by any mean, but that was just her own opinion. “Well, I will take care of that.”
“Strain?” he asked her “there was no strain on me. I still love my brother” he said referring to Samuel. Finn licked his lips again, “but you are happy with how things turned out, so I am supportive” he told her softly.
Putting down her wine glass, Rachel looked over at him. “There was some strain on us. I don’t know if you remember, but we fought a lot more than then we do now.” she pointed out. “He’s your teammate, I don’t expect anything less, but after everything he said and Mercedes said about us, you’re telling me you would rather live under that stress?”
“I believe in freedom of speech,” Finn said accurately. “We argue over decisions you made no decision on my part or even the Evans’ part,” he told her honestly. She had something to throw at her, and he figured why not throw something right back. “They said things, and we said things….” he reminded.
“Are you really still hooked up on this?” she asked him curiously. “It’s been 10 years, Finn. We’ve all come a long way since then. Don’t you think?” Rachel asked with a small shrug of her shoulders. “We have a wonderful family, great kids, amazing friends. What more could we possibly ask for?”
“You brought up the strain that the Evans’ brought on us, not I,” Finn corrected. “I am not hung up on anything,” he said looking to her “Samuel and I have spoken since... “ he told her as he got up and grabbed his empty beer bottles. He moved to toss them in recycle before he moved back over to his wife, stretching his long limbs.
“Well good. I’m glad about that. After so many years, I would hate for a bunch of drama to have ruined all the relationships from the past.” Rachel said simply as she refilled her glass of wine. “So, anything else been on your mind?” she asked.
“Aside from me needing to find a hobby…. No, not really” he told her, “it’s getting a little boring around here. I think I need to pick up another activity to indulge in. Coaching for the kid is not enough” Finn told her honestly.
Rachel definitely agreed with Finn’s comment. “Well, the world is your oyster. So why not? I know Jaxson loves that you coach but it’s not exactly an all the time thing.” she added. “Plus, you have to be going stir crazy in this house. I know I would be!”
Finn chuckled and nodded his head “I need to find something that I don’t know” he told her. “I mean lost days I get around a little. Play a little golf. Have lunch here and there… but I need something consistent. That’s what I am used to anyway” he told her.
“What if you tried something new? What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but never had time? You have all the time in the world now.” Rachel pointed out. “That shouldn’t be too hard to find. You just have to find something that sparks your interest!”
Finn thought to himself, he didn’t know what interested him much outside of the sport he always loved. Well, he did. But it wasn’t a hobby so much as it were a lifestyle. He sighed heavily before he told her “I’ll think of something” easily. He pecked her forehead before he said: “I love you, Rachel.”
“Who knows, maybe you can try a few different things until you find the one that connects all the things you love. This is the last of the mighty Finn Hudson.” Rachel insisted as she leaned in. “You mastered being a wonderful football player, wonderful father, wonderful captain and a wonderful husband. What can you not do?” she asked sweetly looking up at him as he kissed her forehead. “I love you too, Finn.”
Rachel: Hey! So Finn and I were thinking of doing a European getaway for about 15 days. Do you want to bring someone and come with us?! It would be fun!

In the past 10 years...
When Jesse received primary custody of the kids, Rachel moved back to New York and stayed in their studio apartment so she could be close to the kids. The moment the custody arrangement changed, she moved back to Miami.
It has been over 8 years since Rachel stopped taking Adderall on a daily basis.
Rachel has wanted to expand her family for years. She has tried to get pregnant continuously but has not been able to. She has a fear that it could somehow be related to all the Adderall had taken.
Once Rachel moved back to Miami, she started her own law firm. She named it Berry & Associates. One of her first cases that her new firm received was a murder case. It was national news and was drawing a lot of attention. Rachel was the primary attorney on the case, and her client was found not guilty. It was a defining moment in Rachel’s career.
Even though Rachel still can’t stand Jesse, she has made it a point not to continually go out of her way to fight with him. Especially because Adeline has shown interest in having a relationship with him.
Since the show ended, Rachel has gained a close group of friends and one of which is still Lauren.
She loves getting to attend all her kid's events and being able to have a successful career. While she still strives to make her family’s lives perfect, she has learned how to delegate work at the firm. It also leaves Rachel with a pretty flexible schedule or her kids and for Finn.
A few months after the cameras stopped rolling, Jesse fought Rachel for custody of the kids. It took awhile and for a time, Jesse even received primary custody. Being uprooted from her parents, Adeline wasn’t happy about the situation. She always missed Rachel and was constantly calling her for the first few months that she was with Jesse. As time went on, Jesse spoiled her and gave her everything she wanted. Soon, the calls weren’t as frequent and she didn’t mind being in New York as much.
When Rachel received custody back on the kids, she was sad about moving away from Jesse. It was strange because she still didn’t completely understand the situation. The young girl wanted a relationship with Jesse though just as much as she wanted a relationship with Rachel and Finn. She has since struggled with the back and forth relationship that Rachel, Jesse and Finn have.
Once back in Miami, she started ballet classes and came out of her shell. She liked it better than any other dance style, even though it wasn’t nearly as popular in Miami. She was definetely a mini-Rachel in more ways than one. When she set her mind to something, no one was able to get in her way. All she wants to do is excel in everything she loved and to make her family proud of her.

A few months after the cameras stopped rolling, Jesse fought Rachel for custody of the kids. It took awhile and for a time, Jesse even received primary custody. Jaxson cried when he was away from Florida. He had only knew Finn as his father and being taken somewhere new was scary for the boy. He loved that Finn’s mother was at least right there when he needed her to be.
Whenever Jaxson was back in Miami, he was glued to Finn’s side 24/7 and he never really saw Jesse as much of a father figure. That was why he was thrilled when Rachel was awarded primary custody again. Being back with Finn and Rachel was everything he wanted. He loved Miami and watching Finn play every game. He mimicked Finn in every way possible.
When he moved back to Miami, he started acting odd. The doctor’s diagnosed him with ADHD. It was then that he started to play football. He loves that Finn helps to coach the team and enjoys getting to tell people about Finn’s big football career. Jesse was never the type of athletic person. He was always busy doing something anyway. At the end of the day though, Jaxson didn’t mind because he never really embraced Jesse like Adeline did. Finn was his dad and that was exactly the way he wanted it.

I can’t even say my kids anymore because they are yours...they are ours. Most men wouldn’t deal with any bit of what you have through these years. Between a crazy ex and custody battles, you have been my rock. You have helped me to raise two beautiful kids that love you with all their hearts. You deseve this day more than anyone else I know. Day 2: Mesmerizing Barcelona
The vibrant Catalan city is the perfect summer destination with its beaches, parties and even stunning architecture. Relax and get some sun on Barcelonetta beach or take a stroll through the gorgeous Park Güell designed by Gaudi himself.
Day 3: Historic and Artistic Paris
Let's begin where Paris did, on the Ile de la Cité. A guided walking tour will reveal the city's early history, including visits to a pair of the world's most important Gothic churches: the legendary Notre-Dame Cathedral and the exquisite Sainte-Chapelle. Then we'll take a stroll through the bohemian Latin Quarter. Next, we'll explore Europe's greatest museum — the Louvre — where our guide will orient you and set you free to come face-to-face with the works of Raphael, Delacroix, and Leonardo, and timeless treasures that include Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, and hundreds more. The rest of the day is free to visit the world's greatest collection of Impressionist art — from Monet and Degas to Cézanne and Gauguin, and more — at the Orsay Museum, or be inspired by Monet's incredible Water Lilies at the Orangerie, or puzzle over the whimsical water fountains and modern art at the Pompidou.
Day 4: Beautiful Burgundy
This morning we'll hop aboard our bus and roll into the French countryside, passing pastures and vineyards en route to the "profoundly French" town of Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy. Today we'll discover why Burgundy's wine is world-renowned as we enjoy a tasting together at a countryside estate. We'll continue on to Beaune, where we'll take an orientation walk through the town, and visit the Hôtel Dieu, the town's medieval hospital.
Day 5: Scenic Drive to Switzerland
Today we'll leave the rolling hills of beautiful Burgundy, and climb high into the heart of the Swiss Alps. Our destination is the Berner Oberland's magnificent Lauterbrunnen Valley, flanked by towering, waterfall-laced cliffs and crowned by a trio of Switzerland's most formidable peaks: the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Tonight we'll share a hearty Swiss dinner together at our creaky old chalet in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, where we'll sleep.
Day 6: Hiking Day in the Swiss Alps
The day is all ours to see all the scenery
Day 7: To Bavaria and Munich
We'll cross the border of Germany and stop at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, where we'll learn powerful lessons of the Holocaust and World War II. Then it's a short drive to the heart of Bavaria — Munich. After some time to settle in, we'll take an orientation walk through Germany's most livable city, ending with a raucous beer-hall dinner where you can hoist a liter-size mug of beer and a pretzel as big as your head. Sleep in Munich.
Day 8: Munich Past and Present
This morning we'll meet our local guide and explore Munich on a walking tour. From its medieval roots, to its turbulent role in the first half of the 20th century and amazing post-war recovery, you'll gain an appreciation for the small-town feel of this city, dubbed "Millionendorf" — the village of a million people.
Day 9: Over the Alps to Venice
We'll take a scenic, all-day drive to Venice today, stopping en route for lunch together in a characteristic Italian-Tirolean village. At the edge of Venice we'll board a vaporetto boat for an "am-I-really-here?" Grand Canal ride to our hotel in the historic heart of this seductive city. Tonight we'll take an alleys-and-canals orientation stroll to St. Mark's Square. Later, we will go for a gondola ride where we will enjoy dinner.
Day 10: Seductive Venice
This morning our local guide will take us on a winding walking tour through Venice, blending historic and modern-day stories of this one-of-a-kind treasure, and giving us a local's perspective on Venice's fascinating past…and its uncertain future. We'll finish our morning walk in St. Mark's Square and Basilica.
Day 11: Timeless Tuscany
Today we say "ciao Venezia" as we hop back aboard our bus and drive south into Tuscany. We'll wind our way through the verdant Tuscan hills to our destination: a working family farm that also serves as our country hotel. You'll have free time this afternoon to take a scenic stroll amid the peaceful vines and olive groves, relax by the pool, or taste some of our host's family-made wines. Before we sit down to a hearty country-style dinner together, we'll see how it's made, as our chef gives us a special Tuscan cooking lesson. Sleeping peacefully near Florence in Tuscany.
Day 12: Renaissance Florence
We'll drive to Florence this morning, and hit the ground walking with a Renaissance tour of the city's historic center — learning how Brunelleschi's cathedral dome and Ghiberti's Baptistery doors helped define this world-changing era. We'll end our walk at the Uffizi Gallery, home to masterpieces by Leonardo, Botticelli, Michelangelo, and more. After some free time for lunch, we'll regroup for a visit to the Accademia Gallery, where we'll marvel at works of sculptural genius: Michelangelo's rough-hewn Prisoners and his greatest masterpiece, David.
Day 13: Layers of Rome
This morning we'll drive straight to Rome. After a quick lunch and a Roman transportation lesson, we'll tour the world's oldest public museum, the Capitoline. Here we'll learn about Rome's golden age through its most treasured sculptures, including the sublime Dying Gaul, the imposing Marcus Aurelius on horseback, and the emblematic She-Wolf suckling Rome's tiny founding brothers: Romulus and Remus. Then we'll wind our way to the awe-inspiring Pantheon where you'll be set free for dinner.
Day 14: A Walk Through Caesar's Rome
Today a local guide will take us on a walking tour through the heart of Rome, telling us vivid tales of the larger-than-life Colosseum and the birthplace of Ancient Rome: the Forum. We'll continue with a visit to the greatest church in Christendom, the awe-inspiring St. Peter's Basilica, home to Michelangelo's sublime Pietà.
“Everyone thinks that I don’t appreciate the boost in recognition that this show has given me, but that’s not true.” The brunette said as she sat in front of the camera. “If anything, that’s the thing I’m most grateful for from the show. When this all started, none of us knew what to expect. I mean, let's face it, we didn’t know what people would think or even if they would tune in. You never know what to expect, and I think when we first started, the producers were really honest about that.” Pausing, Rachel shifted on the couch. “Before we started, Finn and I talked a lot about the show in general. I don’t think the question was ever are we going to do this but how we were going to do it,” she explained. “My thought process was that it was an opportunity for something exciting, but I also wanted to protect my family from any negatives that came along with being on reality TV.”
“This experience was not what I thought it would be. Nor did it turn out how I wanted it to. When it first started, it seemed rather simple, but it’s amazing how complicated things can get.” Rachel said as she reminisced about the past few seasons. “It’s like a snowball effect, and when everything is out there for everyone to see, it’s that much more intense because everyone is chiming in with their own opinions.” The brunette added. “It’s like, I have a hard enough time making decisions myself, I don’t need the rest of America giving me their opinion too all the time. And you would be surprised what people have comments on. It’s unbelievable.”
“Of course getting to share some really amazing moments with the viewers was exciting and something that I enjoyed. Like when Finn got the chance to play in the Pro-Bowl. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity for him, and I couldn’t have been more proud to stand by his side. It was those moments when you look at your family and see such happiness in their eyes that everything seems in place.” Giving the nod to the camera, Rachel took a moment to gather her words. “And I’m grateful for the support system I have received from the viewers. If we could just show you all the good times, I feel like it would have been easier but than again, then no one would watch.”
Taking a breath, Rachel played with her wedding ring, “I think in the end though, the show got out of hand. It became more of an ego thing then just living our lives. Every interaction, every moment all of a sudden became more and more dramatic. A simple disagreement turned into World War III before our eyes.” Pausing for a moment, Rachel shook her head and laughed.
“Of course I’m not saying things were staged or didn’t happen. I can guarantee every moment was completely real.” Rachel said with another chuckle. “But how we got to such an over the top point had to do with the show.”
"And of course, there are always parts that I can only wish I could take back. You know, when you’re not filming, and you do something you’re not proud of, it’s very easy to forget it happened or not be honest with yourself. But when the tape is rolling, those same things you’re not proud of are memorialized for all the see.” She said explaining. “I don’t watch the show frequently, but there are some episodes I’ve seen and think to myself, I hope my daughter never sees this part of me because I don’t want her to think any less of me. And it’s for those moments that I can truly say I apologize for.”
“I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’m not above admitting that I’m not perfect nor is my life. Looking back at some of the episodes, I realized I don’t have to be so perfectionism all the time. It’s okay if the house isn’t spotless 24/7 or if there’s a dish left in the sink. People would send me comments, and they were never like, ‘Wow! Your house is always so clean’. I know it won’t happen overnight but I would really like to relax a little bit more on that kind of stuff. I think it would make Finn and my kids a little happier too. Hell! Even I’ll admit some of my OCD makes me look crazy!”
Running her fingers through her hair, Rachel sighed. “When this show first started, I was pretty new to the Dolphin family. I just wanted to be this good wife and team player. I didn’t want to cause any problems, and I wanted to just blend in.” The brown-eyed lawyer remarked, “But I started finding that with blending in, there were rules and behaviors that I just wasn’t okay with. If conforming in that way meant being walked all over, I didn’t want to be a part of it.” Before continuing, Rachel bit her lip, “For me, it has always been about Finn and my kids. I know it sounds a little crazy, but I’m so thankful for my husband. He truly is my knight in shining armor. He saved me when I was in such a bad spot in my life. I’ll always be grateful for what he did for my kids and me. Because of him, my kids have a dad who is there for them and who cares endlessly about them.”
“A lot of people have asked if I will ever be friends with Mercedes and the truth is, I don’t know. I’m not going to say no because there’s always a chance, but I’m not focused so much on making friends right now as I am on my family.” Rachel mused about, “In the same breath though, being on a team means rising above ourselves to make sure the team stays at its best. Do you think we’re the first football team where all the wives didn’t get along?! No way! And we won’t be the last either. I don’t think we will ever be back to the way we use to be. Too many things have been said, both on her part and my own.” Rachel said.
“As far as the future goes with my family, I’m really excited to watch my kids grow up. Of course, I would love them to stay little forever, but I know there’s so much to look forward to. I would also really love to have more kids. Maybe work a little less and focus on that, who knows?” Rachel laughed. “I’m just really looking forward to spending time with husband and enjoying our family every possible chance we can.”
Repeating the question to herself, “If I could go back in time, would I still do the show?” she paused. “I think that everything happens for a reason and that every experience can teach us something. This is no different. I still look forward to sharing my adventure with everyone, just on a smaller scale.”
Sam: Lmao, you don't even believe the shit you say. Why would I be falling apart Rachel?
Sam: Huh?
Rachel: Right because I know that answer, right? Or what? You think I'm just fishing for some sort of information?
Rachel: I don't want to know or care to know about the ins and outs of any of it. I was just being considerate. I would think that you would do the same thing for Finn if the roles were reversed.
Sam: WHAT ever you're drinking, smoking or poppin... STOP.
Rachel: Listen, we might not get along and we will probably NEVER get along but you're still a human being who's on a team that I care about. Which means in some roundabout way, I also care that you're not completely falling apart.
