Elara's feelings towards her home borderline hate. The first chance she got, she ran for the stars. She ended up on Earth where she fell in love with a human and gave birth to a child. However, when the child found out he was alien, he wanted to see his mother's home. Elara went with him, willing to give her home a second chance. She fell in love with another Time Lord and again fell pregnant. But again, they failed her and so Elara left, her now adult son staying behind. Little does she know, her home is gone and she's one of the only survivors of the Last Great Time War.
