Rotten eggs are quite hard to spot. On the outside it looks just like any other fresh and normal egg, but once you crack it open, you realize it’s already rotten.
It’s sad that some Christians are slowly becoming like rotten eggs. On the outside they put up this front – they serve, they tithe, they publicly pray – but deep inside, they’re rotting because they forsook their first Love. They gave into the enemy’s traps. They secretly indulged in their sinful desires. They hardened their hearts.
And they think they can fool everyone. They think they can hide it forever. They think they have it in control. What they don’t know is that they’re plummeting themselves into a downward spiral.
Stop. Just stop pretending and lay it all out at the foot of the Cross. Your fake acts won’t cover up your sins; only the blood of Christ will. Our God doesn’t condemn you; He wants you back. So come back, rotten egg. You may think it’s impossible, but guess what, our God specializes in impossible situations.
