Should have made for a nice, cozy time right? I’ll was down at the community center noshing on as much food as I could manage. 

Drinking for three, told Soph I was drinking on her behalf too. Don’t gotta worry about me though, in good hands here with the girls. It was pretty chill, not complaining. Just looking more forward to being home for Christmas now. Hey, that sounds like a good time to me.

That’ll be nice, I’m sure it’ll be good to have some family in town. It was alright, yeah, ate a little, spent some time at Natalie’s house, headed home for an early night to just watch TV.

As much as they hurt my feet, I will say that I feel sexy in a pair of high heels. It just feels good to be strutting around in them, you feel sort of powerful… and then relief when you take them off, too. I have a nice mixture of both, but my husband has way more shoes than I do, I can admit that much. It was great! We pigged out on a ridiculous amount of food – and I didn’t burn anything! – and now it’s all about shopping.

I know you own flats though, difference. Will give you sexy and power though. Jason a kicks dude? That’s what this weekends all about, no? Eating your weight in turkey and burning it off while shopping. Applause on not burning everything too.

I’m sure that you can make up for it at Christmas time, have family in or go visit them, but it is nice to know that you’ll still have something where you can be surrounded by good people. Nah, it’s alright, the big feast is always a good time, and it gives me a couple of days to prep for Black Friday.

Moms’ll probably be visiting in Bayview for Christmas, looking forward to that much more than anything about yesterday, gotta admit. You end up having a good Thanksgiving?

I’m not sure that it’s preference as in, “I love the way these hurt my feel so much!” as it is, “I love the way they give me slender ankles and lengthen my entire leg,” you know? Fashion is pain, unfortunately. Jason’s family and my youngest sister are spending Thanksgiving with us, so big dinner, some shopping, the parade, the good stuff.

When you put it that way.. makes more sense but still ask why. Feel like we might need to call up Shay on this topic. Not sure she owned more sneakers than her gym shoes till she had Atlas. I got questions. How was Thanksgiving?

“Come over to my house.  Even though I just moved in, everything is put away and the house is spotless.” she told him.  It was true.  She had found that she was happier when her place was clean, who knew?  Tyler’s place was absolutely perfect for him.   “Oh yay, I’m starving!” she laughed as she followed Tyler to the door to help with the food.  “Man this smells amazing!” she chuckled, sticking her nose in the bag and inhaling.  “So tell me more about the town.  What is there to do around here?”

“Because you just moved in” he clarified for her. Tyler always got joy out of relentlessly teasing Ashley, and that wasn’t stopping anytime soon. To him, it was just them falling back into old routine. Tyler took the box of pizza, handing Ashley the bag of sides and led the way toward the kitchen. He set the pizza on the counter, grabbing plates and handing one to Ashley. He then headed for the fridge, turning to the blonde, “what do you wanna drink?” He motioned for her to walk over and look for herself as he took the opportunity to feed Dylan her own dinner. “Uh..” Let’s be honest. Tyler had a habit of being a bit of a recluse. “The Funplex is pretty cool, go-karts and paint-ball and all that. Like to head out to the cabins or the campground. Take the boat out on the lake.. not right now but, summer, you know? Lot of pretty dope bars in town. Couple clubs. Summer time you can find us all at the Getaway pretty much any given weekend. Can’t go wrong with bowling or the drive-in. Take this one to the dog park often” he pointed at Dylan before continuing, “the pier can be a good time, like Santa Monica. Can always go hiking or when it’s open for the season, Snow Tracks is a solid weekend boarding and all that. Lots to do.”

As much as we would have loved to have you back in town, we get work needs to get done. Don’t worry I’ll make sure to stuff myself with as much Thanksgiving food for the both of us so you know, you can live vicariously through me.

Yeah, me too! Might take some big, colossal change for anything to happen there! There’s a lot that goes into it, you’d have to ask a foot doctor, I’m sure that they could launch into a whole lecture about why some shoes work and some don’t. Definitely, and now it’s all about celebrating the holidays.

She’s pretty stuck with me. If she’ll abandon me for somebody, I know who it’ll be. Eh, not that curious. Just find it difficult to believe anyone prefers stilettos. Seems painful. For sure. What’re your guys’s plans?

That sucks. I mean, at least you’ll be able to spend it with the cast, I’m assuming, but Thanksgiving weekend is always nice in town. Hopefully someone down there makes a big turkey for you guys, make up for it a little bit.. Not really, kids are all with their moms, so I’m just gonna make a dish for the feast in town, lay low for a few days until they get home.

Friendsgiving at Lil and Heather’s isn’t too bad. TV family’s better than no family. Not my first year working over the holidays. Sure we’ll make it work. Hey, if you wanna you can always fly out and join us.

Yeah, gives them lots of time to figure it out, honestly. I’m sure that they’ll make it work, one way or another. It was a good one, yeah, nice to have the whole fam around for a little bit, but as for the candy… depends on the kid. Ryan went through a lot of his, but I sent him and Harper home to their mom with their whole stash. Jason’s bowl is draining a lot faster than Gracie’s, I’ll say that.

Right now just a matter of when we get time off or not with the holidays. Right now it’s looking like Thanksgiving might be happening in Santa Fe, more than not. More likely to get more time back in December that way. Sounds about accurate. You guys got plans for Thanksgiving?
