Seen this photo so many times online but seeing it irl is so odd 2 see whats inside people

Sometimes i wonder if the concept of vampires comes from humans getting infected with rabies, with the bite marks from animals , mentaly abnormal behaviour, intolerences to light etc.... i wonder if since there was no scientifical way to explain it at the time ,so they resoned it with folklore tales.
