Hey so I know you don't really do naruto fics anymore but you were really involved with another writer, Amrun. Do you know what happened to them? I'm still kinda clinging on to the last chapter before "Playing the Game" is completed. And you're technically the last person I think they interacted with. This speaks to me more than anything else in the game… Because when it comes down to it… Humans fear things that could harm them in some way. And here Connor shows actual fear, being cautious after actually falling to his… shutdown. And what is more he remembered that. He remembered the feeling of shutting down so much that he developed fear of heights. He IS afraid to die. So much so that he fearfully stumbles away from the rails.  Fascinating…

And he doesn’t have a fearful reaction on the railing if he didn’t fall from the roof at the beginning of the story. We can see from multiple playthroughs/timelines that Connor got the fear from his past experiences.

New Feature: Self

Hey there! Just wanted to let you guys know I just posted chapter 9 of New Feature: Self.

Sorry I haven’t been to active lately, just haven’t been feeling it.

Here’s today’s excerpt:

Hank stared into his coffee, sighing.

“About what you said last night -- “

“I didn’t say nothing last night.” Hank drank again. “So forget about it already.”

“That’s not true, you -- “

“That’s enough.” Hank stood up from his chair and walked to the hall. Connor followed. Hank opened the front door. “This is my house. And I’m telling you to get out of it already -- I’m not going to be told what to in my own house. Get out.”

Connor stared at Hank. He was lying. He knew he was. Last night hadn’t been a lie -- Hank cared about him. Cared about him like no one else did.

And perhaps that meant Connor had to honor his wishes sometimes, too.
